It's getting harder to do these threads, nerves shot to bits every time I start typing
Anyway welcome to the Matchday Thread and the visit of the Wendies to Elland Road , another club that will be looking to claim something to move them nearer the playoffs, forget their rivalry with the blunts they won't be looking to do us any favours .
Venue...Elland Road...Date...13th April...Kick Off ...1730hrs
Team News
Leeds United, Marcelo Bielsa has no fresh injury concerns ahead of the Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday.
Pablo Hernandez passed a late fitness test on his ankle to play in the midweek win over Preston.
Patrick Bamford will hope to keep his place in attack after answering his critics with a brace in the 2-0 victory at Deepdale. Meanwhile, left-back Barry Douglas has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Sheffield Weds
Steve Bruce expects to again be without key midfielder Barry Bannan after he missed the midweek 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest. Bannan has a sore hamstring and - though no date has been put on a return for the Scot - Bruce indicated that Saturday would come too soon.
Dominic Iorfa and Roland Aarons also missed the win over Forest with minor knocks but could come into contention. Sam Hutchinson should be available again after suffering from illness in midweek.

Match Facts
Leeds United haven't lost consecutive home league matches against Sheffield Wednesday since January 1998, when the sides were both in the Premier League.
Sheffield Wednesday are unbeaten in three league matches against Leeds (W2 D1 L0), last enjoying a longer run in March 1995 (five unbeaten).
Patrick Bamford has scored seven league goals for Leeds United in 2019, more than any other player.
Sheffield Wednesday striker Gary Hooper has scored seven English league goals against Leeds in eight appearances - more than any against any other side.
Leeds have drawn fewer Championship matches than any other side this season (7), with just one of their last 26 league games ending as a draw (1-1 vs Middlesbrough in February).
This will be Steve Bruce's eighth league managerial visit to Elland Road (W2 D1 L4 previously), facing a different Leeds manager each time (Venables, Reid, Carver, Warnock, Evans, Monk, Christiansen, Bielsa).
There we have it then, another "must Win" to keep us on track, the Wendies coming off the back of a good midweek win will fancy their chances and i doubt MB will underestimate them..........I'm going for my usual 2-1 win with Alioski and hopefully Bamford who is starting to restore my faith in him

Glad Harrison shut up a few of his detractors and I think we are all almost tasting it now. Well done boys!

Roberts had a good game today but, my god, how many chances did he miss or were saved by Westwood. Unlucky not to score.

Peak, true. But the lad is a talent and under MB is
rapidly becoming a very dangerous threat.

Pressure on Norwich, with no Buendia who they've not won a single game this season without him, have got a nervous game tomorrow. Just worried about 3rd though, 10 points needed now for promotion

I managed to watch the game here in Tenerife on Lutv. I thought if it was on Sky you couldn’t get it through Lutv, but fortunately I must have been mistaken. Like everyone else, I was soooo nervy watching the lads make chance after chance but either not taking them or they were saved by Westwood (it’s a pity we didn’t sign him!). At least we won in the end! It’s a shame we didn’t make any roads into the goal difference but we can’t have everything.
Back home on Tuesday so it’s Adam and Noel on the Beeb again if we aren’t on Sky. Only 4 more to win!!!!! Keep the faith everyone. MOT

I got half my prediction right . . . . . .
(in case you missed it I said 2-1 to the Owls)
Anyway, well played, you deserved the win. Pity our defence couldn't hold our for the whole 90 mins

Those saying Forshaw and Dallas were bad subs don’t understand football.
