Spurs for me are definitely in the

top three clubs in the country, and should have coasted top four, but for the blip, where they took just 1 point out of 15. They are clearly a very talented outfit, and would be a travesty if they did not make CL next season. Just do not seem to be able to shake off the challengers yet though. So what do we make of our challengers, United, Chelsea and Arsenal.

United stole yet another win yesterday, to go with the win they stole against Spurs at Wembley, they are the worse of the three sides, and have picked up a lot of points this season, more through an element of luck than any great play.

Arsenal are the eternal flat track bully team at home, capable of winning most, but on the road they are a really poor team, so I cannot see them winning all four of the games they have left from home, whilst still trying to juggle the Europa.

Chelsea blow hot and cold, capable of beating the best, but they have taken one or two hammerings this season, and still have to go to both Old Trafford and Anfield.

Spurs next visit Man City in the Prem, which I think we have all written off, but possibility of a surprise, City definitely seem to be showing signs of fatigue. But if Spurs do lose, they could find themselves out of the top four again by the time they take on Brighton in a week or so. The clubs around us all seem to have pretty easy last couple of games, so absolutely essential Spurs have a bit of a gap going into the last two games away to Bournemouth and home to Everton, as whilst Spurs should win both, they are not like guaranteed wins.

It`s going to be close, but we have to believe. COYS.

Ah a trophy so significant it was scrapped. Not many British teams have won the Cup Winners Cup, right enough....

The UEFA cup we won twice. That part of your list ? Didn’t think so. Was more prestigious when we won it in the 80s than it is now. Facts are spurs are one of biggest clubs in the country, certainly top 6. Bigger than Everton, bills and certainly Sunderland clueless mate

I would not say Spurs are a bigger club than Everyone tbh. But it's a matter of opinion

Yes, it`s a shame we don`t enjoy the same never ending supply of good luck and benefit of doubt from the officials as Pool and United do, because we could still be up there challenging City for the league and certain to finish in the top 2.

When we are on top form the only team better than us is City imo.

There is nothing to suggest Everton are bigger in any way, shape or form. Similar size? Possibly an argument for that, but Everton are not bigger than Spurs not a chance. Anyway, it don’t really matter matr. Spurs p** all over Everton in every department and all the other clubs you mentioned like Villa etc, so really doesn’t matter mate. Our stadium now p*** all over pretty much everyone else’s in the league to.

I personally think Spurs have been the best team in england over the last 3 years as a whole, and i find it astounding you haven't won anything tbh. That is the problem though Don, you can't class yourselves as one of the top clubs until you actually start winning trophies and delivering the goods. Without trawling back i think it's 30 years since a fa cup and 10 since the carling cup win? It's not good enough especially for a team with the potential scope of Spurs and Spurs' history with just the fa cup as one example.

Unbelievable really, think next season Spurs really need to deliver when you have the best team you've had in a long while atm

Sensible post mate, and more or less sums up the article. Spurs are as it stands, and that is what a lot of supporters do not understand, one of the top three clubs in the country. Yes they have to win trophies. But they are competing at the top of the Prem, QFinals of the CL with a chance of a semi-final, best club ground in the country now, top support, so have to be classified as a top, top team and club now, however others look at it.

Sunderland, Aston Villa and Everton all have rich histories, but they cannot as it stands be longer classed as big clubs in the 21st century. One of them is playing two divisions down, one is in the championship and the other is not anywhere near breaking into the CL places.

Agree Sandy, Spurs have defo proved the last few years that they're not just a flash in a pan and are here to stay in the top 4/5 clubs, finally got the consistency, just need to get it a bit more for the cups/nitty gritty

Mate I totally agree with you on the trophy point. Ask sandy or any Spurs fan on here, I am probably the most vocal when it come to criticism of our trophy hain the last few years and I totally agree we should be winning much more. But neither Everton or Villa have won f** all and this Guy was trying to say they are bigger clubs than us, which they are definitely not.
