Great result yesterday.
More so when you consider the pressure Leeds United was under to carve out a result to take advantage of Sheffield United's inability to win against Millwall.
Put a resurgent and resilient Sheffield Wednesday who, under Bruce, we're looking at an outside chance of the play-offs themselves.
Hats off to Bielsa, he sticks with plan A irrespective.
The atmosphere around ER reflected a tense, nervous situation. The ultimate prize in our grasp but equally we are adept at making things hard for ourselves.
Harrison was largely ineffective in the first half and MB has demonstrated in the past that he is willing to make personnel changes at half time.
On this occasion he persevered with him and was rewarded with a sublime finish to give the Mighty Whites all three points.
Ten points from 12 guarantees promotion. I think we'll get 8 but as Wakey suggested elsewhere I'm not sure Sheffield United will get a maximum return on their own run-in.
We persevered against a well-marshalled defence, stuck to our task and now promotion from an automatic place looks that much more achievable.
Leeds United looked more assured once the crowd truly raised the roof and gave more encouragement. The twelfth man.
Makes you proud huh?
The significance of yesterday's result.

Only reason I asked is I totally disagree with this statement

Spot on LIW
We battered them throughout from minute 1, literally zero Leeds fans that were nervous or tense - the goal was always coming. Think that edgyness would have kicked in last 10 mins though if we didn’t score. Best football we’ve played all season by a mile

That exactly how I saw it pal.

Sky were saying the crowd were quiet and edgy in the first half, kept referring to it being reflective of it being that time of year, I suppose squeaky bum season comes to mind.
Second half the crowd sounded louder.
Commentators pee'd me off by once again apologising for bad language which I think most people zone out on and if like me wouldn't have noticed. How sensitive do they think folk are?

Crowd was always with the team, don't think the atmosphere was nervous even though as individuals we probably were. The waccoe in the second half was great.
Leeds are dealing well with the pressure as they have done all season. Sheff Utd haven't done well at all though as the team in the pole position. I thought it would be interesting to see how they would cope as they have been chasers all season. Pressure completely changes when you are the ones with something to lose. I think it will be all but over on Bank Holiday Monday.

Have to say it was an extremely nervous in east upper. One thing that did and always annoys me is some peoples inability to at least sing the anthem on coming out. I reckon only 50% of people sing it and we could double the noise for the players coming out of the tunnel.

It was a very nervous pub I was in - even at 1-0 we all feared the worst.
The relief at FT was unbelievable!
They had the Manu game on at the same time but we couldn’t hear the plastics
