The worst run club?

2nd highest wage bill in Europe - Highest in England.

3rd most expensively assembled squad in Europe - Second highest in England.

Do people seriously think anything will change at Manchester United with the Glazers and Woodward hanging around like a bad smell? We’ve got fundamental issues with the structure of this club. There’s no leadership from the top.

Our so called CEO has a right hand man with a masters degree in finances dealing with contracts of the players. We’ve got owners who have frankly demonstrated for six years they’ve got absolutely no idea how to navigate us out of a continual slump. Sir Alex was a genius, he ran the club from top to bottom and the minute he leaves the wider picture is shown.

This club generates the second highest revenue in the world, and it’s the worst run club in the world. Because it looks at the numbers instead of the trophies and the development of the side. A director of football will probably paper over the cracks, however I have come to the conclusion we are not going anywhere with Ed Woodward and the Glazers still making the decisions.

Why is it the owners providing money that the club itself generated some sort of leeway for them being absolved of blsme?

.................

Because they don't have to.

You have owners that are generating enormous amounts of money and are prepared to spend it and back the manager.

The problem with Utd over the past 6 years is a lack of coherent playing strategy and player recruitment.

Your last 4 managers have been Moyes, LvG, Mourinho and now OGS.

Can anyone tell me what the strategy behind those appointments is? I means they're not even vaguely similar playing styles in some cases. Ditto recruitment strategies.

Tbh if Utd actually decide what they want to do and make their decision on the basis of that strategy then you'll likely be back at the top of the tree sooner rather than later simply because you have the resources that make it inevitable.

I know not everything can be Woodward's fault but lack of coherent strategy I would put firmly at the feet of the CEO.

The Glazers have taken the best part of a billion pounds out of the club through dividends and loan repayments. That's money that the club has generated.

They are perfectly entitled to do so, of course, as successful LBO capitalists; but let's not laud them as benevolent benefactors. They have put £0 into the club of their own money.

They are parasites.

And as far as they are concerned, the club is one of the best run in the world. It creates mammoth - and growing - revenue. That's all they are concerned about.

Rosso

Exactly. So short sighted to think because we’ve spent a lot during their reign, that they’re doing all they can.
