Dr Rob’s summer fix

A realistic and effective way to approach next season. Ideally Coutinho but I have a feeling Barca might keep him at leash one more season. We need more creativity in there and Eriksen is perfect but I can’t see Spurs selling us both him and Toby A.

In

Toby A
Doucore
Ndombele
Bale
Wan-Bissaka

Out

Pogba (as part of a deal for Bale?)
Herrera
Mata
Bailly
Valencia

I know people doubt Bale but he’s played 44 times this season already and played 41 games last season so his supposed glass body is a bit of a myth. Scored almost 40 goals in that timeframe too. For a couple of seasons would be much better than what we have there and maybe someone like Jadon Sancho would be ready to come in.

Doucore and Ndombele would add ferocity and balance into the midfield.

Toby A is the most nailed on ‘must buy’ out there and Wan Bissaka ticks a lot of boxes.

I know some people think we should have a longer term plan but I’m certain if Ole doesn’t get top 4 next season he’s a goner so we need a mix of experienced players as well as younger ones to carry the pressure when the younger ones are suffering.

The fix for Man Utd requires far more than signings.

I also think Bale is far too big a gamble given the money involved.

Yes let’s go and spunk the sane amount on a kid who’s had 3/4 of one season in his career, bargain.

Sancho....Fack off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure why you’re aiming that at me?

But if we did buy Sancho at least we’d be buying ran investment. An asset.

Buying Bale is neither of those and given his injury troubles it could be a complete disaster.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not winston. I’m thinking spending 100m on sancho would be utterly stupid, so in perfect keeping with the daft post saf transfer strategy(do we even have one)? Buy hype..

I don’t necessarily disagree, but I’d still say that buying big on highly rated youngsters is a better strategy than buying players like Bale.

Certainly not for 100m. He’d buckle under the weight of expectation. We know hoe this would go. Stay clear for now.

Bale for two years then Sancho. Surely better option than anything else out there?

Bale is still class. And better than sancho by a distance, but he will be very expensive, and is a hell of a risk. Could be Sanchez mk2.

Sancho is far too young and fAR too overhyped.

Bales last two seasons (not including Wales games)

Played 78
Scored 35

If anyone can put a better realistic right wing option I’m all ears

Bale 3-4 years ago absolutely, not now. He's still a good player but we need to build for the future.

We need to be sensible as well. Won't be able to sort this all out in one window
I'm not up on the next big things on the continent but personally I would go:

Toby
Wan Bissaka/Matt Doherty
Neves
RW, I'd like to see an exciting young player brought in. Who I don't know.

That's the bare minimum we need, Diafol keeps going on about the lad at Swansea, by his description he sounds for the world a united signing.

Young hungry players should be the focus, we're building for the long haul.

Fack off with the Bale sheite Robb ffs...He doesn't want to come to United and has turned us down twice, what makes you think he is even available from RM?

I'd be amazed if any of those ended up at the club this summer.

This is another good point. If players are only joining us because their preferred choice or current club don't want them (like Di Maria) what is the point.
