VAR is killing chequebook clubs

Real Madrid V Ajax

Before Dusan Tadic scores to kill off Madrid the ball was thought to have gone out for a throw in. VAR checked, ball was in and goal given. Ajax go on to score another and progress to the QF

PSG V Manchester Utd

Utd are 3-2 down on aggregate before Dalot takes a pop shot in the dying moments on the game. The ball comes off Kimpembe’s arm and handball is given. VAR checked and the penalty is given. Rashford scores and Utd progress to the QF

Man City V Tottenham

0-1, 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, 2-3, 3-3, 4-3, 4-4...... Tottenham going through on away goals. That’s until a ball is played forward to Aguero who squares it to Sterling to score in the 93rd minute!

VAR checked, Aguero offside, goal disallowed and Tottenham progress to the SF

VAR is the equaliser to nation funded chequebook clubs and long may it continue!

Shame it wasn't used in the FA Cup. Scandolous decision especially as Swansea were in the PL less than a year before.
