Right, absolutely brilliant outcome in

the end last night, but we have to remember, we are only in the semi-final, and have some serious opposition to come up against before even thinking of winning the trophy, and that surely has to be the name of the game. I don`t want this to be another season of nearly men.

My take on last night`s match, City were clearly the better side, and I didn`t think Spurs were brilliant, but to score three goals at the Etihad has to be a real plus, although nearly throwing the game away so many times is a big minus. Only Spurs could do what they did last night, have the game sewn up at 2-1 after 10 minutes, then nearly throw it away in injury time. But for once it did not end up Spursy, and the ref came to our rescue for once.

Plusses from last night, Son, scoring two goals, Llorente, much maligned, yet he comes up with yet another important goal. Both Verts and Toby were magnificent and repelled everything City could throw at Spurs, Lloris also made one magnificent save.

Minuses, both our fullbacks are horrendous, Trippier is clearly out of his depth at this level, and Danny Rose could easily have seen Red, he is all over the place at times, and gives away so many silly fouls, his defending is poor as well now, he is definitely better offensively than defensively. Our injuries are also piling up again, Sissoko missing now, Son also suspended.

Going into a semi-final against a young vibrant side like Ajax, with Kane, Son and Sissoko all likely to be missing is not good. You need your best players on the pitch in the biggest games.

Ironically though with winning last night, and Spurs growing injury list, it could actually scupper top four chances in the Prem this season. Another two games now have to be added to the end of season games, and with all the injuries, do Spurs have the squad to cope, something will have to give, which is a real shame.

Anyway no point in dwelling on negatives, City again this weekend, which I can see Spurs getting well beaten, City will be absolutely hell bent on revenge, and I think Spurs will still be smoking the cigars from last night, so it could get messy. But hey ho, most of us have written off the game, so imperative that next week, Spurs beat Brighton, as they could be out of the top four, by the time that game comes around.

Anyway, let`s enjoy our first CL/European Cup for 58 years, I well remember the Benfica 4-3 defeat, that was very painful to take. Let`s hope this one goes better.

Oh and on another note our player of the season should not be Son or Sissoko or any of our players. Stand up Sergio Aguero, missed a penalty in the first leg, then thankfully caught offside in injury time, when that Sterling effort bulged the net. A very worthy winner.

COYS

PS Need Napoli to win 4-0 or something like that this evening to end a perfect week.

Given what's left in the comp, Ajax is a great draw. Win or lose, I cannot wait.

Still in a total shock, cant fully ingest what happened last night for a start thought Poch was either a very brave man or a complete idiot to go with that team/formation at city to actually go toe to toe with the attacking force they are, I would have probably started with Llorete but then I am naturally a very cautious person, so well played Pochettino you may get to stay at Spurs a while longer

At the start of the season, Sandy, you were convinced that you would win the league. Perhaps you just got the competition wrong!

Sandy got everything wrong.
But now it seems the good Ole boy might see his wildest dreams come true....
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No I didn`t Ted, I had a bet on both Spurs at the start of the season, and Ajax a month or so back to reach the CL final. Cannot lose now.

It is you that got everything wrong, you said Spurs had no chance of beating City in the CL. Take your punishment like a man, and start eating some humble pie.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Show me where I said that!
I always said we had too thin a squad to get the title. And that a cup competition was our best bet.
And since Pochettino doesn't rate the FA tin pots, that leaves the CL.

Now then can we beat Ajax?
With a healthy team...no doubt.
With our current injury list .... doubtful.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ted, you never say Spurs will beat any team, so I am sure somewhere along the line you said City would wallop Spurs. You are by a countrymile the most negative supporter on the board.

If Spurs get to the CL final but lose, will you say the CL campaign was completely meaningless as you did with Liverpool last year?

Wrong. I've been saying City are beatable.
I have however been saying that because of our weak point on the right side, namely Trippier, its a long odds for us to beat them.
We were damned lucky, face it.
And now we take on Ajax with a bunch of reserves because of our injury list!!!
Do you think I'm silly enough to say we will win?

I'll ask you one question Sandy......
Who's going to take Son's place in the first match?
And you know Pochettino believes in attack!
We've been using Delli Alli to bolster the defensive midfield, and need him there even more now Sissoko is out.
Some idiots think Lamela will do defense

Our best hope is that they have a long injury list too .... like Frenkie De Jong!

Dunno who "you" refers to, but any Spurs fan will be over the moon to reach the final. Not meaningless.
