Our easy draw continues in CL

So we’ve had an easy run of a draw so far in the CL this season.
We’ve only played PSV, Inter Milan, Barcelona, Dortmund, Man City so far.
Let the easy draw continue.

Yeah we are a reasonably low ranking CL team; we finished 3rd in our league. We were in pot 3 so there was always a risk of a hard group - that’s just the way seeding goes, and a hard group we got. Then, we finished runners up in the group meaning we had a higher chance of a hard last 16 draw, being drawn against only teams that had won their group. Then, when you get to the QF you expect a tough match.

Nothing to see here.

so youve been lucky so far, VAR has helped you out a lot.

I totally get your point TN. I don't know why certain posters are trying to belittle you.

Even in the weakest pot of teams at the group stage we somehow managed to draw the strongest team, in Inter Milan.

It's a very good point well made.

So it is nice to get the easier side of the semis, although I'm sure UEFA never actually meant for us to get through .

Don’t get the article tbh

Just saying we haven’t faced an obscure club from a lesser league, all big league big clubs.
We have been the minnow club in many regards and so far we’ve progressed really well.

Who said you only played minnow clubs to make you bite and write this article?

No one you say?

Makes it even more of a sharticle.

VAR stitched us up in the first leg. Rose got put on a yellow for a poor pen decision & Ferdaninho should have been sent off.

Man City may have been the better side but refereeing wise, justice was done overall

Actually we wee in Pot 2. Our co-efficient score has been rising in recent years. That said, we still managed to draw 3rd best team in Italy ( at the time ) in Inter Milan and the dutch champions. So seeding does not always g;tee easy draw. Think we all know that privilege remains with the Manchester clubs.

Well instead of playing in Eastern Europe against some unknown farmers we've like, you know, gone to places like the Nou Camp, Inter Milan, Man City, you know, those well known "cream of the crop" places in the football industry and, well, done the business. Like back in the day.
Get it now?

You sound like the CL is a bit new to you. Doing what you say and getting results at places like you describe is standard procedure, for any Club that has experienced sustained runs in the competition.
