Vardy: 20+ again?

With his love for goals against the ‘big teams’ could Vardy, incredibly, get 20+ goals for the 3rd out of his last 4 seasons? Has he put to bed the nonsense that he can only score in a ‘counter attacking’ team?

Only player in the top 10 scorers playing for a team outside of the ‘big 6’

Mins per goal 1 minute shy of Salah

1 goal shy of Kane having played 31 minutes more of football

And somehow only 3 off the top spot.

If Vardy finishes anywhere near the top 2 or 3 scorers it’s pretty astonishing.

Given he started the season with and injury, him and
Puel not playing to his strengths, he looked like he was losing his touch missing chances. Well yesterdays goal was top draw and who would bet him against him.

The Vardy story could have been all so different for us.

Good to see big Nige on Sky Sports this morning and the conversation turned to Vardy, NP said the tip for him came from a 'bloke down the pub' who told Nige to take a look at him and he passed his name on to the team to track.

The scary part was he actually wanted to make a move for him while at Hull but they were under a transfer embargo at the time.

Just imagine how history would have been changed if he'd got his man while at Hull.

Just shows how fortunate we are to have his services.

Vardy has now beyond doubt proven he’s a top Premier League striker. One of the best in the division.

I’ve really enjoyed watching him improve his game year after year. It’s not been overnight, and his progression has been down to hard work, willingness to learn, coupled with his natural talent.

It’s like the opposite we’re seeing with Gray 😉

I remember reading a story that said he has 6% body fat and would drink a double espresso and a Red Bull before hitting the pitch.

A super player, massively under-appreciated, that I think probably has another 3-4 years at Premier League level.

I love the fact he turned down lucrative moves elsewhere to stay with us too. Such loyalty is in short supply these days.
