On Wednesday evening Wolves welcome Arsenal to Molineux.
In the reverse fixture, an early goal from Ivan Cavaleiro gave Wolves a well-earned point. Despite a solid defensive display they were unable to prevent Henrikh Mkhitaryan from scoring an 86th minute equaliser and were unlucky not to come away with 3 points when Morgan Gibbs-White hit the bar in stoppage time.
At the time of the previous meeting, Arsenal were 5th in the table and Wolves 12th. Both sides have improved since then. With the top 2 places out of reach, there is nevertheless fierce completion for the next 2. Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and Man United are all in with a shout. With the competition all losing games that, on paper they should have won, this game could be crucial to Arsenal’s hopes of finishing in the top 4.
Wolves are also involved in a battle. With 7th place expected to be the doorway to the Europa League, Leicester, Wolves, Everton and Watford are all in contention but with their recent loss to Southampton and draw with Brighton, Wolves are certainly no longer favourites for that coveted 7th spot.
In Wolves favour, Nuno has a full squad to choose from whilst for Arsenal this will be their 4th game in 10 days which will doubtless see Unai Emery making changes to the starting line up from the one that fell to a 3-2 home defeat by Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Being in the U21's for Spain is pretty impressive though, so there's talent there somewhere. Maybe Nuno and staff can work on that next season.

I don't see us winning this game at all and the best I can see is a draw but at the moment I am not convinced we can up our game as the season fizzles out
