Klopp on Manchester Derby

"I think I will watch it if I have nothing else to do," said Klopp when interviewed by Sky Sports after the Liverpool win at Cardiff City Stadium. “Hopefully I can avoid that (shouting at the TV) because we have no influence.

"It doesn't look like Man United can really...what was the result today? 3-0, 4-0? We'll see. City will be ready and we'll see if United are ready as well."

"We drew there but it's not the type of thing we have an influence over. We will focus on the things we have control over."

Looks like Klopp doesn’t give the sc*m much chance either

While BR definitely improved the club on purchases made under his time, Suarez, Sturridge, Coutinho etc., JK's selection have taken is even higher.

Since our last PL win in 1990, with the odd exception, buys haven't been so spectacular, other than in the price paid. United, on the other hand, either promoted the youths, or made astute buys. It now seems that, since BR's time, the successes v. Failures have been reversed.

And we've won 3 trophies to your 0.

3 trophies Eric?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah. The number that comes after 2.

FA cup - LVG
League Cup + Europa League - Jose

1,2,3

Enjoy the game on Thurs
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Enjoy your 30th year anniversary next year.

I love how broken United fans are at the moment. The two best teams in the country being their two biggest rivals whilst they get dicked 4-0 at Everton and are on their worst run for 20 odd years.

The same Everton that lost 2-0 to relegated Fulham the week before

Man Utd are a shambles on and off the pitch.

The Solskjaer stuff is crazy. They originally said that if he gets top 4 the job is his.

Then they go and give him the job on the back of a lucky win at PSG.

Wtf..

Revolving door keeps turning. How long before Mourinho is back in the running and seen as a successful Man Utd manager?

Doesn't matter.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Does a little bit.

How do you feel that it's United in charge of your biggest game of the season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to my bad grammar, I think you are missing the point, Eric. From the early nineties until 2010-12, with the odd glorious exceptions, we made bad, expensively bad buys while SAF and yours made very good signings. Ergo, your trophy cabinet.

Since that time, our buys have improved, vastly in some cases, while yours have been on a downward tilt. SAF won the PL in his final year with a team that had gone long past its sell-by date. The managers you've had since have all had to make almost emergency buys at vastly inflated prices (Martial, Pogba, Fred???) for players who have yet to do the business, while, under BR and JK our buys (Robertson, £8.3M A O-C £35M) have been at times the spectacular opposite.

That's where our two clubs are today, and why.

Saw Gary Neville saying on Sunday that Mourinho was the most successful manager in 20 years blah blah blah.

Wasn’t this the same Gary Neville calling for him to be sacked

Feels pretty good thanks. Most of the season wasn't under him. Despite the last few games we've improved under him.
Will you be cheering him on vs City by any chance?

Klopp on United vs City: "It [the derby] is not something we can influence, and it does not look like United are in a place to either.”

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Klopp called it correctly

1 very poor attempt on goal all game from Man U.
