He's been linked with a move to United in the independent today, I would take him for a season or 2, It would give the likes of Dalot time to develop as well.

Great point RE the signings, too many have been more galactico recently, was saying on the Gary Neville as DoF thread that united need a real team in place to sign footballers, with Ole having finak say and the proper support network around him.
Woodward literally described united as Disneyland for adults when trying to get Klopp to take the job after Moyes, Klopp said it turned him off it despite the offer being really good.

The Meunier signing would make so much sense, especially as there is so much investment needed throughout the team. Dalot could become a decent RB so no way should we be looking to pay £50-60m on another right back now!! I believe he has a year left on his contract and the rumours a few weeks ago that the price being quoted was £20-25m
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In theory we could sign Meunier, Toby A and Rabiot for less than £50m which would improve the squad and still leave us plenty of funds for one, or even two, high quality attacking options. A really clinical striker would make such a different for example.
I just want our signings to be properly scouted and not be the new flavour of the month or galactico.

I agree. There is so much investment required in midfield too though. Whilst I acknowledge Herrera's technical deficiencies, his heart and application makes him a much more valuable asset in our midfield than any of the others imo

Yeah he is a bit It just proves th epoint so many united fans have been making that he really isn't the man to do the job united need.
He was going on about social media presence when signing Pogba, it was like the most viewed sports story on instgram ever or something like that.
Now I do think Pogba is good and all but what do fans want? A load of likes on instagram, or a player who runs himself intot he ground for the club on a daily basis, I genuinley think Ed would rather the likes than the hard work.

No disrespect but you're looking like you could very well win the league with players from:
Roma
Youth
Saints
Schalke
Hull
Sunderland
Newcastle
Monaco
Roma
Hoffenheim
Saints
They are hardly world beating-clubs but the players signed from them have quality and have fitted right into what you've tried to achieve. United used to do this and we need to get back to it.

£20-25m for Meunier and £25m for Alderweireld looks like good business to sort out our defensive issues.
I worry they would flop under us though, we are a cursed club.

I have to say I like the Man United fans on here. They laugh and make a joke about their decline. Maybe they have seen so much succes the last 30 years so it doesn't bother them much when they lose those games.

We don't really make excuses like some fans on here. We say it like we see it mostly apart from wums like Hafi.
At the moment we aren't very good at all. Not refs cheating us. Not bad luck. It's just been bad decision making at the club from top to bottom.

We need more than that.
Lindelof, Bailly and Smalling (JUST ABOUT) are ok for squad players but we need world class talent. Alderweireld and Koulibaly would be amazing, Tuanzebe isn't world class yet but I'd bring him back.
The only problem is, we've now given Smalling, Jones and Young new contracts when all three should have been sold years ago.

Smalling, Jones and Young are OK as back ups. But we do need better as back ups given our luck with injuries over the years. We're probably behind Arsenal when it comes to injury crisises over the past few years.
