If true well deserved. Sterling fine well but his stats are not crazy levels more than hazard or Salah so therefore I feel virgil was the outstanding candidate this year.

tbf I disagree. I think city but mostly liverpool are the easiest teams to be a Cb at currently, as they rarely face any questions as teams are too scared to be hit on the counter by them
