We all expected it and it's how it went. We were much better than the weekend but we were up against a much much better team tonight. No grumbles from me. City are just better than us right now. A long long way better really.
The most disappointing thing is though had we put that amount of effort in at Goodison we'd be sitting in top 4 right now most likely or at worst we'd have 1 more point than we do now. We gifted Everton that win because we didn't try.
Definitely testing times but got to stick with Ole next season and let him chuck out who he doesn't want and sign some players and then judge him this time next year. This is not his team. He's come into a royal mess and for people to be blaming him already is mindboggling.
If there is improvement next year then great. If not then feck knows where we go next. Cantona? Just kidding.
Keep the faith reds. We'll be back when the club finally get its head out of its backside.
Plenty of effort but gulf in class showed

This tweet from a Liverpool fan made me laugh
‘I have supported Man Utd for one league game this season and Liverpool for 35. They have lost the same amount of games in that time’
😂

I have to say supporting you guys this morning was so frustrating. The amount of times your players made the wrong decision when there was a break on, failed to play a simple ball to feet or your fullbacks didn’t bomb on, or when they did overhit a simple cross in a good position was crazy.
Made me realise how good it is to support us right now, particularly with our full backs!

Man City had 3 shots 2nd half while Man Utd had 6. The difference was in the finishing. Lukaku missing, Lingard missing an open goal by Mistiming and also the one in 1st half he missed when it was easier to score and we also had one better ball away from annopen goal 1st half when Ederson got to ball.

That rashford hit from miles out he had options.. And a few others.. You couldn't beat us either so don't be to harsh...

So what blue mooning? We’ve beaten pretty much everyone else. Didn’t say you guys were trash, just said united players made poor decisions.
Not sure why you’re getting so defensive about it.

I can see Man City dropping points if they play as badly with the ball as they did against us.
Man City must have had there lowest expected goals of the season against us.

Because you're having a go at Utd for not beating city... When you couldnt

I’m not having a go at united for not beating you guys at all. I fully expected a city win, at least the united players fought and pressed today unlike the other day.
I’m just saying i was shocked at the poor level of quality in the united side, the inability to pick a pass and poor decision making was surprising to me.

Sorry lads, you guys have made a mistake in appointing Ole. You look at Pep, Klopp, Poch. Other clubs have top class managers, you’ve appointed a no-mark on a sentimental basis - all this is is a delay in the pursuit of trying to recover the glory years. Be honest, he’s just not up to rebuilding Man U.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Willing to give him a chance. Not going to write him off before he signs a single player. Absolutely ridiculous. You could well be right of course but right now this is Jose's team with Ole in charge.
Klopp came 8th first year at Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Come on. Apply whatever footballing knowledge you have and be truthful with yourself. Compared to his peers at rivals clubs he will be found wanting. Would you swap him for Pep, Klopp or Poch? Of course you would, if you answered honestly. You already know this doesn’t end well, and if you don’t you're deluded.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Been answered already. We've gone down that route with Moyes (PL experience), LVG (huge experience) and Jose (proven winner) and none of them worked out.
Happy to try something different. And what has Poch ever won? Absolutely nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What has Poch won? Use your brain and apply context. Are you seriously that ignorant about football? If so you deserve Solsjkaer as manager. Good luck.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Honestly spurs fans need to stop acting like Poch is the gods answer of football manger. Is is just an ordinary manager with no trophies won. Remember United finished second just last season.

This isn't Jose's team.
There has been one constant through the recruitment of these players and he's the one who negotiates and signs off the deals.
This is Ed Woodward's team.
