Although now more resigned to not winning the premier league if someone had said we were only a point behind them with only 3 games left I would have taken that at start of season. Let's face it, many, including myself thought city would have won it by now andit would have taken a super human effort to stay with them.
But there is still a slim chance of winning it. But with Barca now on the horizon do we start shuffling as I feel we can win the champions league (that is something still in our control).
I personally would go full pelt today with best 11 and then hopefully can win this quick against a fairly limitied huddersfield.
Maybe even see shaq out there today!
Be nice if we are leading with nice two goal lead early for once.
Strangely, now that I feel it is unlikely we will win it, the nervous energy has gone!
Any other liverpool fans feel the same?

We play our best team and take three of them off if we have a good lead. There's still a chance of winning the league, one slip up by City. It is certainly not time to put all our eggs in one basket yet

I mentioned in a previous thread that I think they only team capable of taking any points from City is us. Having said that, we need to keep the pressure on them and 3 points is a must tonight; maybe even try and make a dent in the GD on the off chance that we end up level on points with City.

Maximum of 6 games left this season, players are fresh as a daisy due to the mid season breaks so just play our best side in every time, see where it gets us.
No international football of any real importance this summer so the players can rest up then!
I agree with the OP, I've written the league off. Wish we could just play all three games and then let City play theirs

Bad bunch of players for the most part.
OGS has made quite a few bad team selections or positional selections of late that can't all be blamed on injuries.
That said, he has made it clear what he wants and intends to do, so I will give him a fair bit of leeway as we do need quite a clear out.
We have some crap players or some that are to old and slow that have to be sold, Young, Valencia, Matic, Mata and Darmian. Two permanently injured players who can't ever be relied on who need to be got rid of. Jones and Rojo.
And that is before we even get to Sanchez and Lukaku.
The only first team players I would make any effort to keep are DDG, Shaw, Smalling, Lindleof, Herrera, Pogba, Rashford and Martial.

The title is still to play for, I haven’t given up on us getting it yet. I would still prefer to win the league than the Champions League if offered one or the other. Focus on Huddersfield and play at full strength and let Man City’s game and Barcelona next week take care of themselves. Anything can still happen. At least give the City players a couple of nervous nights by winning tonight.
