People always talk about spurs playing entertaining football but I don’t think we have for a while now. We all know we love to pass it around at the back and inevitably get ourselves into trouble a couple of times every match. This slows our game down so much, it takes us so long to transition the ball from back to front and by the time we do, the oppo have 11 men behind the ball again. I think Winks is someone who comes deep to get the ball and drive forward, but when he’s out we don’t really have anyone else like that in the team.
I often think even some lesser teams move the forward better and quicker than we do most of the time. Wet Spam did it today, while we knocked the ball around at the back and even when we went forward most of the time we then went back again cos there was no movement, no one to play in further forward.
I miss the old entertaining style of football we used to play. Hopefully it’s just all our injuries and a bit of tiredness but I do worry how we’re going to get some goals in our last 2 games against difficult opponents.

Our counter attack attempts suck too. How many times do we have to endure a player with the ball with options in the opposition half, mess it up?

Agree, I cannot believe how long we take to circulate the ball from defence to attack at times, it is like snails pace, it is so easy defend against.
