Do you remember before......

.....the season started?

Concerns over the appointment of Bielsa?

The lack of spending?

Small squad?

Etc., etc..

How many would have taken the play-offs as a route into the promised land?

I'm staggered at the level of gloom on here. Admittedly we had automatics in our grasp but it is what it is.

Bielsa strikes me as an intelligent, honest and transparent man. He's also something of a wily old fox. His recent comments about not getting anymore from this squad may well be true in certain quarters but don't you think there's a bit of reverse psychology going on here too?

Players have generally over performed this season both in terms of fitness and quality. I think mental fatigue is rife throughout the squad. At least four more games to go, time enough to regroup, go again and try to do enough to get to Wembley.

Pressure is off for the next couple of games. Coming third or fourth will represent the best season since Blackwell was at the helm. One hell of an achievement in my humble opinion.

I believe there's enough about Leeds United to secure promotion via the play offs. As ever, we have proved we can beat anyone. Unfortunately we frequently demonstrate anyone can beat Leeds United too......

Having watched the Blunts yesterday I suspect a different Ipswich Town will turn up next week playing the Mighty Whites. Always the way, successive losses can only mean one thing eh? If I were Bielsa I'd play a strong hand against Villa then rest a few versus the Tractor Boys.

It's not over until the Fat Lady sings. We can still go up.

If we don't, it'll be a huge disappointment but hey, what a season? We have some gems in our squad that hadn't shone before. We have some fantastic youngsters knocking on the door. If MB goes then we should be grateful for his contribution. If he stays, we'll no doubt have another crack at promotion.

I'm truly gutted that we didn't finish the job off properly but I'm very proud over what we've achieved thus far. It's been a while since we had something to play for during the whole season.

Let's get a result today to restore some pride. Give the youngsters a run next week then get down to the serious stuff thereafter.

It's our Centenery year, this is Leeds United. We can do this.

As our eternal saviour once said, "The future's bright, the future's White."

I think most would have taken the play offs Stevie before the season starts but it’s different when autos have been in your grasp... and your team is the one that fell away..

...Which lets be honest is an accusation labelled at bielsa’s sides.

Unlike some, I’m still positive, we will likely have the lowest morale of the 4 playoff teams but we will be the best side in it.

Our season is extended, I enjoy the drama of the playoffs.

It’s cup football, anything can happen... and we’re due a bit of luck.

Everyone is gutted and rightly so. But we need to get a grip now and get behind the team. We've been a much better team than the other 3 who will make up the play-offs, have beaten them all and performed very well against them. Let's go do it again.

Some good news today from the YEP too - they are confident that Bielsa will be at Leeds next season regardless of division. Club are writing up plans that both include Bielsa as manager. If we don't go up, we'll do it as Champions next season. Farke finished 14th in his first season. Wilder finished 10th. Bielsa will finish 3rd. Bit of perspective.

Do you know what my lasting memory will be? Seeing a marauding Leeds United reminiscent of a time when Revie let go of the leashes of what was probably the greatest club side this island has ever seen.

O'Leary and his youngsters threatened to do the same but watching those opening games against Stoke City and Derby County were amazing.

We've a lot of positive experiences to look back on.

Stevie that was the best time of the season. I think we were in just as much shock as the opposition. I remember watching at Derby with the goals flying in, in disbelief.

Teams worked out how to play against us and no one went to toe to toe with us again.

That’s great news re bielsa if true best though he’s his own man so what he wants is what really matters. My biggest frustration this season was January. We went into the second half of the season with a smaller squad than we started it, and that squad was (admittedly deliberately) small in the first place so the effect is exacerbated.

Messed about by Swansea but shouldn’t have been in the position to be messed about.

If bielsa stays, the team stays together, and is invested in in key areas i’d be very confident for next year. A lot if there.

So let’s win these Effin playoffs and render it irrelevant.

I also remember you backing Cellino destroying the youth team, shutting thorp arch, making players pay for the dinners and we shouldn’t buy Elland road back.

So get off your high horse pal

Amazing how MB and the team let this once in a lifetime opportunity slip thru their fingers - lost for words. We've been very unlucky with injuries. I still think BPF should have been kept as 1st choice keeper and Saiz should have been encouraged to stay. Since Casilla came I think it has upset the routine at the back, I know BPF made a few mistakes but overall he was great.

Will be a long summer if we don't go up. If we are still in this league next season I feel CARLOS CORBERAN would be a good successor to MB(if MB leaves).
