We could easily have 400m to spend

If we are able to move Pogba and Lukaku on this summer and I'd be happy with that. Hopefully, we can keep De Gea but I would sacrifice him for a more balanced team that's less reliant on his heroics.

With that 400m I would try to avoid superstar signings and go for players that will fit into Ole's vision. We also want to avoid big egos that will be off to 'bigger and better things' in a year or two.

I know it's easier said than done, but it has worked for the teams above us in the prem. When we get to where they are, we can look at adding the Pogba-style players to compliment what we already have.

I think it’ll be more gradual than this.

Ole will spend a season looking at which players can play in his system and I expect big changes after year one.

That said, there should still be a fair few changes this year as well, as there are a lot of players who surely won’t make it into Ole’s plans that we know now.

I think Ole has been watching us long enough and managing us long enough to know where we need improving. I don't expect wholsale changes, but we need reinforcements in almost every position.

They also spent only 8 m on the best left back on the league from hull. There’s bargains to be had. We are just run by idiots.

If This is the case and united finish 5th or 6th will fans be ok with that?

As long as there's progression in sure most would be.

Fergie did it for years too get the best players from teams across the league to strengthen united and weaken other teams.

That’s not really what I mean though.

There will be players who currently don’t seem good enough that can adapt their game and look good in a new system, so I think Ole will want to give many of them a chance.

You can’t just dump an entire squad and we have to be realistic with the scale of change possible in one summer, particularly when so many of our players are on such high wages.

Frazer is a good player but can he make the step up from Bournemouth to Man United and perform week in week out.

Our shopping from Southampton is hit and miss.

I have to say the quality players we have bought from Southampton were when Klopp was in charge.

VVD and Mane were bought by Klopp.
Lovren, Clyne, Lallana, Lambert by Rodgers.

I hear what you're saying. I'm not suggesting a bgar out at all, just the sale of a few key players to boost our transfer budget and add some quality in some key areas. Some genuine competition for places is needed also. 400m is probably 7 players if you do good business 4/5 players would be more realistic.

If we sell Pogba and Lukaku we have to replace them and also add to the areas where we are weak in defense and midfield. Keep the players we have in those positions and let them fight it out to be first team players in Ole's system.

We won't be spending 400 million... And lists of transfer business that people are posting on different threads with 7 and 8 signings... There's no way we'll sign those sorts of numbers

We probably need to and probably should... But we won't

It depends though, As the squad stands, the players we know will likely leave we'll probably bring in 4 players max and a few academy graduates. If Pogba, DDG or Lukaku leave for big money, that (should) increases the transfer budget, and the need for more to be brought in
