Bassini Is A Joke IMO

From the BBC website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48103967

He knew he was meeting with the EFL at 7pm so he's had more than 24hrs to put together the relevant info. The fact he hasn't (or simply isn't able to) says to me this man is a joke and why the EFL have granted him a further two days in which to drag out this sorry farce is beyond me.

When he showed up tonight without all the information he'd been told in advance to bring Harvey should have said "OK that's a fail and this deal is dead."

Even if that means putting the club into admin it's preferable to continuing to let this clown mess us and the league around this way especially given the fact we're due in court again next week over yet another unpaid tax bill.

For those who don't like Ken I'd say he's far from perfect but Laurence Bassini is a complete charlatan based on his current 'performance' and his track record in football.

You are right but ken has to go. He has made the club a laughing stock.

how the EFL could have allowed Holdsworth and Anderson to take control of the club is unbelievable. Their rules and tests must have been very poor. I sincerely hope that they don't allow Bassini to take control even if he has 20 million. It won't be enough to pay off the debts and run the club on a proper basis.

If he has £20m its £20m more than ken or anyone else has. Caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

That may be the case Benny but he hasn't provided any proof that he has 20 Million. Even if he has, as I understand it, There is 5million owing for the Hotel debt, 5 million for the car park, 1.2 million for the taxman, rates to the council to be paid 5 million for Moonshift and perhaps other debts.

Now I may be wrong with some of the figures but I'm putting forward an estimate, not the actual figure. So we add that up and it comes to 16.2 million + the money owed to the council which is more than 1 million = 17.2 million +. That leaves less than 2.8 million not counting wages owed if they are to be paid by Bassini. How long will that last?

Even if the club was to part company with all the senior players on the books, there would not be enough cash to run the club even with the small amount of TV money that the club would derive being a league 1 team, plus season ticket sales and you will still have a massive deficit.

That would almost immediately lead us into the situation that we are now in. That would mean that further funding would be needed and I'm not sure that Bassini could find it. W@e only have to look at Ken's attempts to refinance the club to see that its no easy task.

Is that what we want after what the club has experienced over the last three/four years? I doubt it.
