I smoke quite a few a day sadly. I smoke tobacco so don’t keep track of how many exactly, like you could with a packet of 20 tailormade.

I am getting to the stage where I want to give up and am debating whether to go cold turkey or go on vapes.

I quit 2-3 times without any anything (vapes, patches, etC). The first week is hell. Without any help from anything else, after the first week, I started up again.

Vapes are a lifesaver. You're still inhaling and you're still getting nicotine. I'm on 13 months now. Yeah, I still need to vape (nowhere near as I used to though), but if I go out for a few beers, I'm not tempted at all to smoke or buy tobacco.

I've been on nicotine gum for over 5 years now.

It works for me and now I cannot stand the smell of cigarette smoke

I ALWAYS put it in the foil-backed packaging it come supplied it, then it goes in the the bin. Yeah it ends up in landfill - better than stuck on the pavement

Anything smoking related should be banned.

People who smoke either want to die early or are stupid. Its amazing Cigarettes are even allowed for sale. You wouldn't drink poison so why smoke?

I suppose the only good thing smoking does is kill the stupid people early although it can affect other non-smokers due to second hand smoke. I wouldn't smoke even if they gave me £1bn to smoke.

If I were a smoker, putting aside the harmful stuff, the financial cost alone would probably make me quit
The way the price of them has skyrocketed in the last 20 or so years is frightening
