Took his fair share of criticism when he first returned from his injury.
Last 2 months, I think he’s been our best player by a distance.
Has the break in his season benefited him long term? Looks the sharpest and most energetic player on the pitch every week.

Hasnt been able to cross a decent ball in awhile.

I think the fact he runs up and down the pitch masks the fact that once he gets ball in advanced position he doesn’t know what to do.
He can’t go past a man, can’t cross to a team mate, so ultimately, for this style of play he’s actually ineffective.
Add in Douglas/Alioski/Dallas/Harrison and you see why we’re flagging, we’re just lacking in quality to implement Bielsas tactics.

Didn't Ayling get 2 assists yesterday?
And both comments are saying he can't cross...
I agree he's not good at whipped crosses from deep but he adds a lot in the attacking third, getting in the box, cutting back low crosses. He's been great last few months.

He does make some decent runs but he cannot take people on and he flaps. He struggle with passing now and I hear he was guilty for that last goal at Ipswich
