semi-final defeat to Benfica in the old European Cup, for a night like this. Spurs saved possibly their best 45 minutes of the season for last night. What a victory.
I cannot believe some of you fell for me going on about how good Ajax were and Spurs had no chance. Honestly I thought you were a bit more cleverer than that. Do anybody seriously think a fella that has been supporting a club for near on 60 years would not be supporting the club on one of its biggest ever nights.
I have had so many disappointments over the years over losing semi-finals, that I just did not want anymore. I decided to go the opposite way, play it low key, then I would not be disappointed with defeat. At half-time I gave the team no chance, but that second half has to go down as one of the all time great performances in the clubs history. There were so many great performances, Llorente, Dele, Moura, the defence held firm, when it could have crumbled. Even Trippier made one goal saving tackle.
The semi-final hoodoo is finished at long last, and what a competition to do it in. And Poch, although I never ever advocate crying over a game of football, I will forgive him, he is obviously a very emotional fella. Thanks Poch and the team you did us proud last night.
And to Ajax, somebody has to lose, you played a great part in a memorable tie. You gave it your all, and we all feel for you, losing in the last seconds after being in control of the tie for most of the two games must be hard to take. But that is football unfortunately.
Oh and a special Thank you to Daniel Levy, delivered a new stadium and a CL final all in e same season.
Oh and fair play to Rio Ferdinand, he went beserk when that winning goal went in.

I am with on that first half disaster! I was ranting so much, my mates were going mental on me!
Honestly, we looked abysmal in that half.
But even then, I had a belief that once we start to play and take the game to them, we would turn them over.
Poch what a man! He loves the club so much and you could see what it means to him to get us to the CL finals!

Morespurs, I am always behind my team, me saying I thought they had no chance was a bit of deflecting from what I wanted to happen, as half-time though, I doubt many of us would have given us a chance. I did have a few quid on Ajax to lesten the blow in case of defeat, but I have been backing Spurs at various prices each way to reach and win the final, 25/1 was my best price.
