Yet another season gone, and yet another summer that feels like the most important transfer window of our lives.
However, I am very worried for this summer. Right now, as a club, we are possibly 4th or 5th choice in the PL for any potential transfers.
Liverpool & City are the pinnacle right now, City offer Pep, titles and huge wages. Liverpool offer Klopp, history and cup finals (potentially trophies in future too).
Spurs offer CL football, an exciting "project" with Potch, a new stadium and a CL final.
We are lucky Chelsea aren't going to be an option, for this summer at least. Arsenal do have location and a similar league position to us.
You'd have to think, if any player does decide on the PL, and Spurs, Liverpool or City are options, we'd be bottom of the pile which is a worrying thought.
Huge Window

Only way we get de Ligt is by blowing other big club's out the water with a £70m+ bid and Ajax tell the player he has no option.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Player can always opt to stay. He’s 19, club captain, and played in a champions league semi with this side and will win the league.
He could easily say “thanks but no thanks, I’ll wait for Barca”. If the player makes it clear he has no desire to move to united, or any other club at this point other than Barca or madrid, then the buying clubs will just back off.
You don’t want a player who doesn’t want you
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Reckon Big Virg will tell him what a great time is to be had in Blackpool.. No problem spending 70m on a defender, we will get that from the Champions league run anyway..
Origi will be sold for about 50m now.

That's a crap analogy, but I think we get your point.

If it's a crap analogy how did you get the point then? 😉

After what Liverpool did to their defence, I'd be amazed if they don't buy De Ligt as well as De Jong.
Coutinho will be sold. PSG I reckon or maybe Chelsea to replace Hazard as they are going to appeal their ban a second time so will probably get another window to buy players.

De Ligt will come to Liverpool as well as Rabiot in the summer.
Man U can have Lovren and Arsenal can have Lallana

Would hate you to get De Ligt. Can't see you paying another world record for a CB though.
Rabiot would be fine. He's a bad egg. Not sure he's got the mentality to play for Klopp.

We won’t be splashing the cash on De Ligt when our defence is fine now, we have Gomez who looks excellent too.
We need to be spending money on backup fullbacks, a winger and maybe a central midfielder

Agreed.
Barca bound or maybe City. Still think Barca though. Their defence is still shocking.

Even if you win the CL, you are still a backwater compared to Barca, though I admit, you’re euro record will be catching up. Your domestic record won’t be though, and that’s partly why they will always better you for signings. For us too. Money dosebt cure all.
The location helps too. Liverpool vs Barca. Hmm, tough choice.
