Deadline for Celtic fans to renew is today at 5pm.
Now as per usual, i expect them to extend the deadline by at least a week which will no doubt irk some fans who are now on the waiting list which is unfair in my opinion for a number of reasons.
First off, i'm sure everyone is aware that Zebra finance who have been doing the ST finance agreement with Celtic for a number of years suddenly stopped halfway through the renewal period and thus left a lot of fans in limbo. Anyone who renewed before they stopped were fine, unless you were accepted on or around the day they announced it was stopped as they were then advised it would not be accepted, a complete shambles.
It does however get much worse, the company who has taken over is V12 and it's been an absolute nightmare for a lot of fans. Allegedly, people who were accepted then denied at Zebra have now been rejected by V12 meaning they will likely lose out on their seat as most people who take the finance option can't afford to pay it off as one lump sum.
Seen quite a few tweets online from fans and i feel for them, this is a shambles. Celtic should have had contingencies in place for this, if people who have always paid up their ST were rejected by the new finance company then they should be allowed 3 or 4 weeks to try come to some arrangement elsewhere etc, but that doesn't appear to be the case and plenty of fans will now lose their seat.
Surely the club need to get involved here? We're coming up to a hugely important season and if someone who's had their seat for over 10 years or so misses out then it's a disgrace from the club.
Anyway, bit of a rant but i felt sorry for some guys online last night, guys with kids absolutely frightened about losing their seats and it's not right, not for a club like ours.

The ticket arrangements for teams that reach European finals is a disgrace. 6,000 for each team is completely miserable.

Zero sympathy to be honest.
The fan base of these clubs demand the huge financial input the sponsors make in their own lust for ever increasing revenue which they then hand over willingly to players and agents who in turn the very same fans demand to watch on tv or at their own stadium.
The sponsors pay for the vast majority of the tickets so they deserve them
We moan away in Scotland but in reality we get a fair allocation when it comes to finals as a percentage of seats given to fans.

Spot on. Some of the clowns who are moaning will be the same dimwits that were on here the other day talking up the English league over ours.
This is the inevitable consequence of what they have done. Too fackin bad.
