So, the FA's extensive investigation into social media comments made by a minor have concluded, and the result is that Hamza Choudhury has been fined £5,000, told to attend an education course and warned as to his future actions.
This is a £5,000 fine too much for me, but I guess it's pretty small fry to a footballer anyway. And it is good to know that the FA are right on top of things when someone who isn't a major star is found to have tweeted something that might have upset someone six years ago. This scourge on our society must be eliminated.

Anti social media and keyboard warriors. The scourge of the current era. The 'have your say' society, whether you know what you're talking about or not.

Absolutely crazy,
I expect a whole host of charges now to be brought by the fa, as they delve into every professional footballers life, back to 12 yrs off age to see if they said or printed anything wrong according to new trends or rules,

Hamza fined and ordered to attend an fa education course for tweets he made as a 15 year old, but a 30 year old wayne Hennessy gets let off because he supposedly didn't know he was doing a n&zi salute?

What a load of bollox by the FA.
15. 15!!! Still a boy. What 15yr old hasn't done wrong?
Not many 15yr olds who are mature in their ways, thoughts and activity.
Snowflake society. Might aswell nick everyone & anyone who has cocked-up. Will need to build about 14 million prisons and detention centres. Ah well, at least there will be loads of jobs for builders . . . . . . . . . . unless they all start wolf-whistling.

The thing that gets me about it all is that, when I first heard he had been charged, I was expecting a lot worse. The contents of these posts are one joke at the expense of his own racial heritage (and arguably a jibe at the way they’re treated by the police) and a statement that he thinks women’s football is of low standard. The worst one in my mind was a view that he has (had) no sympathy for people who commit suicide or self-harm, but even that is hardly damning of him.

It’s a dangerous precedent to set.
What concerns me the most, is that this was a reactive decision to a complaint rather than proactiveness from the FA.
And as mentioned, to find someone half a decade later based on comments they made as a child is ridiculous. If Chris Rock makes that comment, it’s hilarious as well.
