Chapter Two: Get Yer Wallet Out

"After five years, I will repeat, after five years, it's a moment to close a chapter," he said at Friday's news conference. "It's not going to be the same on July 1 or 6 or 7 when we start the pre-season. It's so important to have a clear idea of the project, the challenge that we're going to have ahead of us.

"It was very clear five years ago that the priority was always going to be the stadium being finished and finishing the facilities here at the training ground. We feel so proud because our capacity to manage the situation - that is very difficult, how it affects the football side at different clubs is amazing.

"To have this capacity to manage both and after five years be successful, because for the first time in our history Tottenham is going to play a Champions League final and to finish the best stadium in the world. It's a massive success. That's why we feel so proud of these five years. But what is next? What next? That's the question.

"What next and how we explain to you and what you translate to our fans, what we want for the future of our club. Of course you know it's difficult for me to explain that. It's a conversation with Daniel, I need to listen to Daniel, he's the boss, the owner. I need to know what I explain to you and you translate to our fans." - Pochettino

‐-------------------------------------

Too long, didn't read?

Pochettino is closing the 5-year chapter as he calls it. The plan to complete and move into the new stadium and training facility whilst achieving Champions League.

However, he'll be walking away if our expectations going forward are the same as City's or Liverpool's and we operating without proper backing.

He wants a new project, with better tools, and considers it stupid hanging on if we want to be a big club competing for trophies but on a League One budget.

-------------------------------------

TL; DR?

Levy, get your wallet out!

Let's build and refresh on what we have.

Hugo, I have been saying it for years. We can’t keeo operating the way we do if we want to keep challenging and moving forward as a club. Sounds like Poch is extremely happy here and wants to build a legacy, but feels he must be backed properly if the club want to move forward. Time for Levy to pull his finger out his a**.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The problem is, that seemingly we can. We reached the CL final the year we didn’t sign anyone, therefore completely ending the myth that you cannot compete without spending silly money
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Leicester won the title but they're not competitive now. We obviously have a team that can put together a cup run. As Poch mentions it's a bit of a miracle and we can't expect the same to happen without improvements.

"that doesn't mean to spend more or less money."

What other tools is he referring to then? What other tools does he need to change it up to match the big boys?

I heard a rumor that Levy has promised Pochettino 150 Mil to bring in new players with,..... and that does not include the proceeds of the sale of outgoing players like Trippier and Aurier.

Can anyone verify that rumor??

Don't think anyone other than Poch/ Levy can. Silly season stuff

I really get where Poch is coming from here. Levy needn’t think because we’ve got to CL final that everything is rosy, we are well behind in the league and we’ve lost 19 games all season, the most for years. To progress in the next phase of the project we need 150-200m spent on the squad. Minimum.
I said to a Chelsea friend when they won CL in 2012, it’s like when Denmark or Greece won the Euros. Doesn’t mean theyre great sides as these kind of cup runs can happen. Poch knows and he knows he can’t compete in prem with no changes to this squad. Over to you levy Again

The irony. Hey, some of us aren't thinking straight...

A) We go on and on and on about getting "top 4". Why? So we can qualify for the Champions League of course.

B) We successfully qualify for the CL and we get dropped out. No worries, let's get top 4 next season. That's what it's all about.

C) And NOW this time round we haven't just qualified for Champions League, we have actually made the m***** f***** Final! In fact, this could be our thing. After all these years on other clubs mocking us about "empty trophy cabinet" and s***. Now where are they? That's right. They have been silenced in stunning shell shocked fashion.

D) Yet we have people moaning, complaining, worrying, about hearsay heresies from the frikkin newspaper, utterly being played by the piper. Believing and buying into PROPAGANDA

E) Meanwhile, We, THFC "THE GAME IS ABOUT GLORY!" SUPER SPURS "TO DARE IS TO DO" GLORY GLORY HALLELUJAH MARCHING ON PUSH AND RUN are about to step onto Football's biggest stage this side of the Atlantic (re: South America) having just performed one of the most mesmerizing comebacks all of us have ever witnessed in spectacular fashion that makes the likes of Maradona, Romario and Bobbeto and even Ricky Villa look as they are, back in the day. As great as those times were, the 60's, the 80's and some of the 90's... this is NOW. After years of moaning imploding on our Spursy selves TODAY we are a different BEAST.

KNOW IT. BE FACKING GRATEFUL.

This misery is offensive. Enjoy the moment, because you are living in these days. Blink and you might miss it.

Un_f***ing _believable

If you want to be a title winning club, you have to operate like one

Eighties.

What are you on about? Everyone is enjoying the moment.

You can do that and also react to what Poch is saying about the future.
