Klich, Tomori and Huddlestone

With Klich having been punched by Villa player but it didn't hurt him, and the FA stating that it was not violent conduct because of that, the flicking of Klich's fringe against the Iron-Man body of Tomori should lead to his yellow card being rescinded.

But Iron-Man's two-footed scud missile attack on Shackleton, and Huddlestone's Volkanovski-forearm smash on Dallas should lead to 3-match bans, with an extra requirement that they lead the next Pride march in Derby, hand-in-hand and wearing pink tutus.

Lampard, meanwhile, should become the front-man for the next three years' worth of Specsavers adverts

Overall I thought the ref did very well. Both teams could have lost players, 11 v 11 is always best.

Ps we’re sheet against 10 men 😂

A flying two-footed challenge off the ground means you have no control. FA rules state that is excessively dangerous and class it as a red card, whether you catch the player or not

Aye, the ref had a word with him afterwards to warn him, Timori looked dumbfounded but it was good refereeing. Kompany was sent off for something similar against us a few years ago in an FA Cup match, won the ball but lunged in two-footed.

Many years ago I picked up a couple hitch-hiking to London, she was pregnant and they looked down on their luck so I bought them something to eat and went miles out of my way to see they were dropped safely at their destination. I stopped on the way to get some fuel. Only later did I find out that they'd robbed stuff from my car. Have you thought of doing that with Pags, you could recoup some of your costs.

Pawson is a really terrible referee but don't expect them to get any better than him if you go up.

I thought the ref was pretty good yesterday. He allowed a lot of contact and kept the game flowing.

I'm obviously biased, but was very glad that the ref wasn't so full of his own importance that he listened to his assistant.

He could have stopped play before our goal as there was a foul on a Leeds player in the build-up to it. Thankfully he waved advantage. 10/10 from me for both Pawson and his assistant.

Refereeing is about team work.

No idea how he thought that was a penalty in the first place, but clarity from the AR seeing that Harrison was in front and was fouled from behind by the Derby player's boot coming in from the back while trying to clear, means that the right decision was determined in the end through good team work.

Anywhere else on the pitch, the player coming in from behind and catching the player in front is a foul all day every day.

If he had overruled his AR, that would have shown a real lack of teamwork and the wrong decision in the end.

He was good in letting the game flow, but he let Derby get away with a lot (especially Tomori and Huddlestone), then picked Leeds up on little things that he had let Derby get away with all game.

Overall, I'd give him about 7 out of 10

Agree with LST other than:

1) Regarding the two footed Direby challenge - he has come in from the side well ahead of the Leeds player and gotten the ball. Never a danger to the Leeds player and thus a perfectly executed tackle. Now if he is a second or two later, he may be walking as his tackle is going to meet the standards for a foul with excessive force. In my opinion, of course.

2) 9.25/10 for me as Huddlestone’s forearm to the face is serious foul play.

Klich can't be looked at because the ref has given a yellow.

Huddlestone possibly could be if the ref says he didn't see the elbow and gave the yellow for a late tackle. But that's very unlikely.

Tomori could be looked at but I doubt it given that he wasn't close to contact.

All three could have been red card offences.

Cooper could also have got a second yellow for diving, and had he been successful would have received a 2 game ban and missed the final.

Stupid from both him and Klich.

Contact is not required when deciding if a player is out of control and dangerous in the tackle.

He was both and should have walked.

I know you're right Stoopo. Why I said it could have been a red. But I doubt they will charge him with an offence for the reason stated.

They don't tend to stick to their own rules do they.
