When we had our warm weather training breaks we came back way of the pace. It cost us too cos one of the games was against Leicester and we ended up drawing. Only saving grace is that Spurs are in same boat. Other leagues still have 1 or 2 weeks left and they would have had the match sharpness.

Sandy I would be shocked if Aurier played, I see he was on the bench vs Everton but never came on.

I don't think Poch trusts him much.

I think he may have come on, if we were winning, but we went 2-1 down so had to bring on an attacker. I get your point though, ridiculous that Trippier is preferred to Aurier though. Even KWP would be preferable over Trippier, he had a decent game yesterday.

19 days and we need every one of those to get the players ready.

The earlier season finish was designed to keep England players fresh for international tournaments - of course we make the Nations league finals and half our squad ends up making European finals with their clubs

Pool are all about high energy and pressing, they try to win the ball back and break at pace, which can result in a shot at goal or a dive. We`ll need our passing boots on to pass around their workmanlike high energy midfield. Fingers crossed for a strong referee.
