Villa v Derby it is

Who’s coming up?

Who do you want?

Mon the Villa

It should be a cracking game. The two nasty cheating clubs have been dumped out and the cream has risen to the top. Two exciting teams who go out to play proper football.

We looked as though we've run slightly out of steam after our 10 match winning run, since then it's been DLWL. We weren't at our best playing WBA. I'm expecting a pretty even match with goals from both sides. Think we should win, but it'll be close. Last year we didn't turn up. Reckon there's no chance of that happening this year.

I want Derby to come up. Met Frank Lampard in Yates down the east end back when he was at West Ham. Always liked him as a player and as a bloke. Think he’s done a cracking job at Derby in his first job.

Also, I don’t really like Villa. I associate them with Prince William, Tom Hanks, Stan Collymore and that utter tosspot Holte Legends who I had many a run in with back when Villa were battling with Spurs and Everton to break the Sky 4 ceiling. Where are both clubs now Holte if you’re lurking round you facking mug? Your mum

Winning twice against Derby in the league means nowt. We cannot underestimate Derby like Leeds did - they have some quality players especially going forward and we need to defend well against the likes of Wilson, Mount, Lawrence and Marriott. We also need our big guns to show up and perform much better than Tuesday night.

As for the final itself, it should be good, both teams will look to express themselves and attack. Will be much nicer than playing Leeds, where it could have got nasty given what happened at ER this season.

So much is at stake in the game, hopefully we have learnt our lesson from last season and turn up right from the 1st minute.

Villa and Derby in the final should be a cracker.

I think it vindicates trying to play the football the right way. Leeds to be fair have done this, but they just lost discipline at a critical point.

WBA reverted back to Pulis football and look a bit of shambles as a club all around.

Although Villa were far too strong for Derby in the league I think it will be a close game. I would be surprised if the final didn’t bring a lot of goals.

Derby were excellent last night, so this is not a foregone conclusion, but do feel Villa have to go up this time, if not the best players will leave ie Grealish and it will become more and more difficult

Derby were good last night, anything could happen at Wembley.

God how the media are desperate for Lampard to get in the premiership not so much Derby

All teams who don't go up will have that, Derby won't get Wilson and Mount back again next season if they don't go up either and will need to rebuild.

It's a huge opportunity for us, if we go up we have the financial clout to potentially do well if we can survive the first season and make sound investment. But if we don't, we move on and try again next season. Championship is fun if nothing else.

The lessons from last year will hopefully be fresh in the memory and they'll want to put that right. Smith likes to attack unlike Bruce and I think we'll go for it from the off, as will Derby I think. Will make for an interesting game.
