Culture

It’s this culture that we need to build upon.

Not easy to cope with the morning after.

Beautiful morning, sun is out, another Yorkshire derby to look forward to, sorry didn't mean to mention Derby..... You gave them their team talk... Simple as... So what if you beat them 3 times... Last night is what counted... Got what you deserved...

wetherby, you got what you deserved when you sacked the best manager you have ever had in Wagner.

Good post, good article.

Wetherby, just go fugg yourself, will you...

I'm totally gutted like everyone else, of course, but while Bielsa succeeded in making a silk purse from a pig's ear - we played far better football for a greater proportion of matches than any other club in the Championship this year and we are no longer the joke of English football - he couldn't turn around the years of neglect.

So, our attention must now focus on Radrizzani and whether he has the nads, and the money, to go again next year, hopefully having learned from his (many) mistakes.

Bielsa staying will depend upon Radrizzani's next move. This season can still be considered a monumental success IF we can hang onto to Bielsa for next year.
Radrizzani selling would be a disaster because we would probably also lose Bielsa. It may be that Corboran is being lined up to succeed him, in which case a second year with such a truly great football coach would be crucial.

So let's talk about 'culture'....

The kind of culture that focuses on discipline or indiscipline?

Will there be any questions put to Cooper and Berardi on why a penalty was gifted to Derby and the reckless tackles by Berardi resulted us being down to 10 men at a crucial time? Both experienced players, had they not seen any TVs, read newspapers, read social media....had they not realised it was a very important game...so why did they do it? Derby fans should put them on their Christmas card lists...what lovely gifts!
Discipline on the field is a big issue for me with this team, I've been concerned for a few seasons now and suspected it would blow up in our faces in big games, how Cooper was made captain is a mystery to me....the team need a couple of centre backs imo, Cooper and especially Janssen are unreliable, along with Casilla, a defence as neurotic as a sackful of frogs, get rid if possible.

Both defence and attack have let us down this year, while the midfield has seen enormous improvements.

Agree with the point on last night's poor discipline, NJS - mind-boggling from Cooper and Berardi.

Also I have got to question shelling out 7 million for a lightweight faker and cheat. This is another gross Orta error, but for me, it's the greatest disappointment. With someone like Chris Wood playing for us this year, I'm sure we would have been promoted. Roofie is good but too physically small for the number nine in the EFL.

Orta should be donating his salary to Bielsa this year.

I think I mentioned elsewhere that discipline was poor yesterday right from Pablo head butting nonsense and that really surprised me that we saw this in a team of Bielsas when he focussed so much on integrity and details.

Not quite the 2 year deal the club made out.

As I posted in article the other day, the priority to get Bielsa to stay should be investing in first team players, not a training ground we don’t own.

Bielsa stay? For what? Please let's stop kidding ourselves...
