Look, I’m not knocking City’s achievements here, but boy has that got to be the easiest cup run in history. These are the teams City beat to win the Fa cup ( Rotherham, Burnley, Newport, Swansea, Brighton and Watford ). They had a very similar p** easy run up in the league cup to. First decent side they faced this season in a cup competition ( Spurs) they got knocked out over 2 legs. Winning the treble is a great achievement I’m not denying that, but I think Arsenal might be one of the other clubs to have had a really easy Fa cup route once when they won it, but this Fa cup run is a piece of p*** especially for a club that’s spent billions.

OP what your post doesn't highlight is that though these were relatively small clubs City faced, they didn't do it with their full squads all the time
The reason is because they qualified to the finals of FA and LC while maintaining a front in the title challenge and CL, until recently
So don't undermine their achievement

About Arsenal, I kind of agree OP
They had only a push to CL places to play for and there were the easy route to Wembley helped them achieve trophy which saved Wenger if memory serves me right
Kept the Wenger out brigade at bay for a while
