UEFA PR taken a hit?

As if Europa League wasn't already a second rate competition which no one other than teams participating (even that to a certain extent isn't true) in give a feck about, Mikhi pulling out is bad news for UEFA. Arsenal vs Chelsea is a final big enough to gather higher than usual TV audience for a EL final one would gather. So this news is sure to make big headlines.

There's nothing UEFA love more than money, but having one of the best players in the competition not play the final due to their incompetence should hopefully get them to stick the final's venue somewhere a bit more neutral. They've also come under stick for shocking allocation of tickets in both CL and EL finals. I wish Arsenal had already qualified for CL, so at least we could've played with the option of threatening to pull out. That would've left them sore.

Money has done a lot of good for the game, but there comes a time where you have to use some sense, but clearly that's hard to come by for some.

So fecking ridiculous. Both sets of fans, as well as neutrals should just be looking forward to the actual match. Not talking about these stupid avoidable issues. For the Europa league Arsenal V Chelsea is one of the biggest finals the competition could have hoped for, in terms of size of club, fan base etc. But UEFA with their greed have royally fecked it for their own competition and fans of the game

There must be a provision that if two teams from the same federation reach the final the venue for the final can be changed to the teams' home country, to a venue decided by their FA. It saves fans the hassle and expense of travelling and will eliminate profiteering by unscrupulous travel agents, airlines and hotels.

A shambles of a competition. Shame we will be in it again next year after Emery failed to beat Brighton at home in a crucial game

He had the chance to play but chose not to. It's his fault.

When was the venue chosen to host the final?
Was it before the tournament started? If so then maybe the teams apposed to it should have withdrawn then.
