I know he said that, it’s not backed up by what actually happened though. He did play in our big games that season.

I don’t overly have a problem with him, just wish he’d made his mind up earlier so we could have recouped some money.

He probably wanted to see what City's plans for him were, as he said he found out they saw him as a utility player and didn't play him centrally, so he moved, as was his right. Not like you need the money is it?

Real football fans in Salford will go to watch Salford City, leaving only the die hard fans flying in from the Far East to watch the slow slide down the table as yet more years of hurt rack up at Old Trafford. Eric will want entertainment so will be watching endless re runs of OGS scoring rather than turning up to watch him manage a team of no hopers battle in mid table and then against relegation.
