Firstly I still don’t think we’ll get De Ligt but I keep seeing this argument from opposition fans and indeed some of our own. Acting like any player joins solely for the money.
Ok we’re not a great side right now but we’re still a massive club.
The lad is 19 years old. He has possibly 15 more years at the top. Just because we aren’t great now doesn’t mean that we can’t turn this around.
Maybe the lad wants the challenge of trying get United back to the top rather than stepping into a ready made side.
As I said I still don’t think this will happen but I’ll be delighted if we do. If someone said pick 5 players for United to sign with no conditions he’d be on my list.
