Hearts 1 v 2 Celtic

Big game players. We’ve had our fair share over the years but I tell you something, Odsonne Edouard is up there with the rest of them in terms of what he offers on the big occasion.

Rangers games, cup semi’s, cup finals, Europe. All games where the 21 year old has stepped up and delivered when it truly mattered. He’s been involved in over 30 goals in 50 games. At £9 million you expect big things but he’s still a relatively young man and yet we’ve reaped the rewards already, I’ve no doubt he’ll go on to have a fantastic career at a higher standard but we get to enjoy him for another season at least.

Obviously the biggest news apart from us creating history is the appointment of Neil Lennon as manager, much to the dismay of the majority of the support.

Look, I’m as disappointed as anyone that it’s Lennon but all of that is now put to one side and he gets my full support as he looks to build his own team. He delivered what we asked of him when he came in the door in February and although it wasn’t pretty he still won an OF game, extended our lead at the top, at one point to 13 points and won 3 cup ties, against Hibs, Aberdeen and Hearts.

He’ll be backed handsomely this summer, there’s not a chance in hell, he’ll go into the job knowing he won’t get much and potentially be the guy to lose us 10.

It’s a massive summer and a massive 2 years for us, keep the moaning and anger until we know for certain, Lennon isn’t working.

As for the game itself on Saturday, first half was shocking, Rogic an absolute disgrace again, couldn’t run 5 yards. The whole team were struggling, again they looked lethargic as flook. Forrest looked absolutely shattered, didn’t want to run down the wing once

2nd half we go a goal down early doors then we kick started into gear. We were excellent the last half hour with Scott Brown and Lustig both acting like captains and driving the team on. Lustig was just behind Edouard for my MOTM in a Celtic jersey, he was brilliant.

The penalty decision seems to have sparked debate, not sure how, it’s a stonewaller for me. When you slide in, like Zlamal did, you run the risk and Edouard would have had to jump over his leg to get to the ball, perfectly entitled to leave the leg there and take the pen.

The 2nd goal’s a nightmare for Hearts but Edouard’s anticipation is excellent and what about that for a finish, Absolutely cool personified

Great scenes when that goal went in, it set in what we’ve achieved, 3 flooking trebles in a row. Can you imagine if we win the league cup next season and start well in the league.....

A weird season but it’s now a summer that’ll be intriguing, if we buy well then we’ll pull away again, need to get it spot on signing wise.

asking for trouble silver

couple of bad results and the fans who are already not on board will turn.

and we all know how well lennon will handle that.

I love Eddy.

Lennon's not the man we need, however... he has been over the course and distance a few times and there's no substitute for experience.

He gets my backing as long as we're performing.
