Do did our league start 2 weeks early or combination of both

Might be due to winter break and yes some leagues did start a little later. Only we are mad enough to have a world cup and still start early August.

Think I read that the CL final is decided first, then the league's work around that date.

Isn't the league being gradually structured to allow for Qatar 2022 taking place mid season?

I've looked and this season is not much different for CL

they played 26th may last year and 3rd june year before.

I also looked at prem and last year they played the final game on a similar date so we had 2 weeks off and the year ebfore it was played much later.

There just seems to be no alignment on a european and league level and the final league game and CL final can move by a week either way so we are seeing the worst possible gap this year.

Didn't do any of the teams in Europe any harm though. 4 Finalists out of 4 with City and Utd also in the quarters.
