At £350m for Newcastle

you can understand why Radz wants to keep a controlling share.

Love this:

Sheikh Khaled, a relative of Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour provided proof-of-funds to Prem league.

No sh . * . T. I could've told them he was minted.

With the right backing (and this looks like it), no reason Newcastle (with that fan base) can't be a top team
year in year out. Especially if Khaled does what his 'relative' did with Man City.

Leeds wouldn’t be worth 350m because the stadium is poor in comparison to St James Park.....but yes promotion would be an instant profit for Radz.
Ashley has put a lot more into Newcastle than most people give him credit for.

Clubs with big loyal fan bases are worth a lot in the top flight. Radrizanni makes a big profit if Leeds go up because potential of the club is big.

That's why City were chosen by the UAE for their sports washing. They get a lot of stick for not being a big club and not selling out, but they have a big, loyal fan base and have for years in 3rd division even.

i don't get why they get so much stick. they are fifth in average attendance with 54,000.

The problem Newcastle, and Sunderland for that matter, despite their large fan bases, is their location. Top foreign players don't want to be stuck that far north. London has its obvious attractions as do other big cities. Newcastle doesn't have the social pull of those.

I might be talking a load of bollox. I'd value the club at 75-100m right now, and if we had gone up 175-225m...based on opinion.
