Bobby’s CL stats

I’ve seen a few people on social media asking if we should play Origi or Bobby in the final as Bobby has been injured

This is a no brainer just look at the stats for Bobby

His record is genuinely incredible:

24 appearances (20 starts)
14 goals
8 assists

He averages a direct goal contribution every 79 minutes

If that is not world class stats I don’t know what is.

I think if Bobby didn’t play for the reds then Mo and Sadio wouldn’t score half as many goals. One of the hardest working, intelligent players out there

I remember reading this from Klopp after the Fulham game -

Jurgen Klopp says twenty German coaches watched Liverpool play Fulham - and they had lots to say about Roberto Firmino afterwards.

He gives 100% every game and never gives up.

Bobby is the man!!

Tbh, if Firmino passes a fitness test then he starts. Origi has played well at times for us but he’s not even close to the footballer that Bobby is. Not remotely close.

Bobby all day. I wonder who Klopp will start out of Gini or Milner?

Has to be Gini after his performance. He was immense v Barca ready to prove a point.

Such a tough call though.. as Milner is always keeping a cool head and being very experienced helps.

What this season has shown, and especially at the Barca game at Anfield, is that, to a degree, whoever plays in whichever place will give their complete all, staying closely to JK's game plan in the process.

While Spurs, a fantastic team, have great individual players, I think that it's their comparative lack of cohesion that could be the difference.

Unlike Wednesday night's debacle, especially Arsenal's performance - that was the most dire game I've seen this season - I hope and expect that tomorrow night will be a re-run of the excitement and atmosphere of Anfield v. Barca the other week.

And hopefully the same outcome against the other side.

I know it's only a minor consideration but there's also another factor, if we were to get a penalty then Milner's the man you'd want to see put the ball down.

Personally I'd probably go with Fabinho, Henderson and Wij but frankly I wouldn't be surprised to see any combination of those 4 players.

In case it's any indication in the league this season Klopp started with Milner, Wij & Keita away and Milner, Wij & Henderson at home.

Milner and Wij started both; Fabinho didn't start either.

Fabinho and Hendo are the nailed on starters for me then I'd probably go with Gini but it also feels a bit harsh on Milner.

Maybe having Gini start on the bench with a point to prove again like he did against Barca wouldn't be the worst thing in the world

I can envisage Milly and Hendo being kept apart at the start of the game. They came on together late in the Southampton game and we all know what happened next.

For me has to be gini hendo and fabinho. Fab will be crucial versus moura I feel

Fab and his inspector gadget legs that just seem to keep extending until he makes contact with the ball!
