dusan tadic
apps 56
goals 38
assists 24
playing from the lw that is a ridiculous season, de ligt and de jong are the two players in that ajax squad getting most of the praise, maybe its because tadic is in his 30s now but just a tip of the hat to a phenomenal season from him
One the great seasons of recent times

We've seen the true quality of the Dutch league though. Ajax are good and PSV decent. Some of the teams who finish near bottom are league 1 standard.

Scored plenty in the CL too to be fair. I think he was wasted at Saints

Can't remember where I read this but didn't he say he purposely left the EPL because it was a tough league (paraphrasing) and that he wanted CL football?
He saw Ajax offering both of those things.

Ajax are good? i wonder what you have to do to become very good... i'd say dumping Real and Juve out the champions league makes them better than just good.. although next season may be a different story

We beat Juve and PSG away though in this CL campaign
They played a hell of a CL campaign, but folded against Spurs.
I've not watched any league games, but to be only 3 points ahead of PSV who most people would agree aren't 'very good' just says that either the rest of the league is absolute garbage (tainting Tadic' stats a little) or that they just performed a level above their usual station in a few cup games

Tbh the CL (in terms of European sides, not PL) wasn't strong this year.
Most seasons Spurs wouldn't have made the final and Barca would not have lost a 3-0 lead.
Most people agreed by the knockout stages there was no clear favourite. By that stage there is usually a couple of stand out clubs.
