Last night was obviously disappointing, but we need to move on and build for next season
However one thing from last night which was really annoying, was the constant retreating we did when we were deep in Liverpool’s half.
I lost count of the number of times we were near their penalty area, only for us to play the ball back until eventually it gets to Lloris
Even the commentators were getting frustrated at this tactic. I am always on edge when Lloris has the ball at his feet, he is not in the same class as Ederson or Allison with the ball on the ground.
We needed to be taking defenders on when on the edge of their box, but no one seemed to want to do it, apart from Son.
We are also much better when we up the tempo of the game, again something sadly lacking last night.
Some of last nights player failed to turn up in my opinion: Dele, HK, Eriksen to name just 3.
Only criticism I have of Poch is that HK should have been on the bench, otherwise selections fairly good.
Big decisions coming up over the next weeks, who is coming in and just as importantly, who is leaving.
Why,why,why?

Gotta admit, I was very happy when I saw that HK was starting.

WHY? He rarely shows up for the big games. He and Son should have bought tickets for the game and watch from the stands!

He’s a Liverpool fan, that’s why he was happy

Well Kane does. Scores against all the big boys on a regular basis.

Agree with OP, so frustrating to see backward and sideways passes at the back, no wonder our possession and completed pass stats were so high, a good % of it in our back third of the pitch.
Number of times Trippier stopped on the wing and passed backwards/sideways...
Really need a Lampard/Gerrard type midfielder who runs with the ball, can pick a pass and also shoot on target.
Gutted for Moura. Should have started.

A sign that Liverpool were defending well and we were just too slow getting forward. Annoying, especially when we had players like Sissoko, Rose and son who were always trying to go forward.
I said all week that if Trippier started we'd lose!
Also that Kane should have been on the bench and Moura started. What a management blunder that was!
I think that Pochettino was forced to start Kane because Kane wanted to start. No player should ever wield that kind of power, but I think Kane does.

Globaled.....................I only use the delete button when cretins like you comment.
Son was one the few players who tried to take on the Liverpool defence.

Genius,
You are a typical bed-wetting loser who does not like reality. Kane, once again, was "missing in action". Son tried his ballet routine by trying to continually dribble through the Liverpool defense until he realized, after 79 mins. that shooting on goal was a better option. You did "outscore" Liverpool on passes back to the goalkeeper! You can't always hide behind the delete button, reality is what it is! YOU LOST!
