Moussa's replacement potentially

Having watched few clips of this player who has shown an interest in coming to Spurs and play for his compatriot Poch, I can seriously say Lo Celso is being lined up for Moussa's vacant role.

Dembele that is

Since he left us, he has left a void which Poch has struggled with to fill.

The other Moussa has raised up to the challenge lately, but he doesn't offer the guile and technique going forward. Sissoko is a powerhouse in the midfield and he'll sweep the midfield and push forward but he can't be classed as someone who can finish the moves, i.e. score or play a telling pass in the last third

Lo Celso has this ability. He always seem to look for wing backs and sprays pinpoint accurate passes to fullbacks. He also plays it through the channel, making dangerous passes.

He can also tackle and get out of tricky tight situations, like Dembele used.

He has a very good left foot and can unleash a thunderbolt that is accurate and scores few crackers. Unlike Sissoko

His only weakness I can see is his sole reliancy on his left foot. It is better if a midfielder can use both.

But overall, a much improved prospect for us and will enhance our midfield I have no doubt of that.

Let's get him to his new home now

Come on Levy!

Well, from the clips, he is physically stronger and doesn't get nudged out of the way easily

From the limited stuff I've seen/ read he looks great & I'd be happy if we signed him. To me he looks more like an Eriksen replacement with N'Dombele being a possible LT replacement for the Beast. As far as Eriksen is concerned I think it might be in everyone's best interest to part ways. No question he's a great player but he looks like he's after fresh challenge and after 7 years at Spurs we have still won nothing, its foolish to pretend there isn't someone better out there who could be an upgrade of help chance the style in which we play for the overall benefit of the team.

I still don't understand what has happened with his contract situation in that so many players have signed new deals for bigger money (but not him) and the likes of L'lorente were brought in on more than him.

I'll have no problem if we wants to go, great player, good servant ..... all good things come to an end.

Would love us to sign Lo Celso & N'Dombele for CM, Dele to play in the 10, with Sonny and Moura wide of Kane in a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. Sissoko, Winks & Dier are all valuable squad members and will all see plenty of minutes

I've said it before but the best comparison for Lo Celso's playing style is Jack Wilshere. Obviously injuries ruined Wilshere but he has a very similar skillset to Lo Celso.

If Lo Celso and Ndombele both signed, that would be a sensational midfield 3 alongside Winks (for games where Spurs can dominate the ball) or Sissoko (for games where more solidity is needed).

I think Ndombele - Winks - Lo Celso would be a title-challenging midfield 3. There's power, pace, passing ability and defensive grit in abundance in that trio, and Ndombele and Lo Celso are both excellent at transitioning play quickly from defence to attack which is what Spurs BADLY need.

Yeah, Ndombele is the obvious Dembele replacement.

Lo Celso looks like a left-footed Eriksen.
