Of course we care. If we weren't getting such great revenue we wouldn't be able to sign top players and win the CL, the pinnacle of club football. Now with even better revenue we can build on that, hopefully building the bench up to match, or at least get closer to City, in order to have a better chance of beating them to the league.

I remember when the CEO of Adidas spilled out of sponsoring lfc saying they were no longer top drawer etc few years back. Now they are desperate to get the lfc shirt sponsorship deal.

I understand the club caring. But it never enters my head when watching the match, and so long as we can compete in the market that's all I'm bothered about.
But if you are interested in the ins and outs then fair enough.

When you say We, do you mean all the fans, or some, or just you?

Yes - that's because United have always been able to spend what they want, at least for the past few decades and therefore if things weren't going well, it wasn't really to do with not being able to compete financially but how the finances were spent.

However we have watched over the past few decades when United, Chelsea and City have been able to blow us out of the water with their huge resources and thus buy the best players whilst we had to settle for the odd top player and loads of fillers. We then watched one top player leave, signed another, and repeat.

Now with us doing much better in terms of finances we're able to compete. So yes whilst watching games I think about finances as they've been a big part of why we've been unable to continuously compete over the past few decades and are now a big reason why we're competing at the top.

I think a much bigger reason is Klopp, he's a great manager.

No its definitely paying people over £150k a week and spending more on agent than any other club.

He's a massive reason but without the finances to compete with the others we'd not be competing at the top. You still have to do things the right way, with the finances or you could be like United, spending crazy money but the sixth best team. So you're correct, it's not all about finances but it certainly plays a major role.
