Where have you travelled ?

( Admin, can multi board if you like )

Now that the season has ended and the usual long drawn out transfer window is upon us, I just felt like creating a thread for something a little different. One of my passions in life ( apart from Spurs , is travelling all over the world. I have travelled to some amazing places down the years with my partner and really admire anyone that has explored this amazing world we live in. Really interested to know where everyone has travelled to ? What is your favourite destination and why ?

I have travelled to -
Thailand
Hong Kong
Malaysia KL
Costa Rica
Nicaragua
Dominican Republic
Mexico
Cuba
USA ( Miami, Florida Keys)
Morocco
Egypt
Turkey
Cyprus
Greece ( various Greek islands )
Spain ( various parts of Spain )
Ibiza
Tenerife
Italy ( Sorrento )
Belgium
Portugal

Bearing in mind I’m only 33 years of age, so haven’t done to bad really so far

Best place for me either Costa Rica as it’s one of the most beautiful countries on earth. Wildlife, scenery, people and culture it can’t be beaten. Hong Kong and Thailand were also extraordinary. HK has got some of the best views from Victoria peak in the planet. I also love Sorrento in Italy and getting married there next year. The seafood in Italy is out of this world.

I've been to over 55 different countries (approximately) in my life, probably much more if I actually counted. Before I was an adult I had already been to like 18 different countries because my Dad's job meant he travelled around a lot.

I've been to many different schools and had many cultures and influences on my life. It has made me a strange person to many people and my accent doesn't belong anywhere, its just mine alone lol. I am multi-racial and can speak five different languages too, including both native tongues of my parents.

Today I have nearly the same job as my Dad used to have so I'm moving around too.

Apart from visiting, I have lived (by live I mean spent minimum of 6 months or more) in the USA, Canada, Jamaica, Kenya, Brazil, South Africa, Qatar, China, Japan, South Korea, Australia, UK, Switzerland (My wife and kids live in Geneva as I don't want them moving around with me), Czech Republic, Egypt etc.

I work with one of the big international NGOs so its not gonna stop anytime soon, luckily. I've grown to hate consistent and continuous extreme cold weather and I try to plan trips depending on that.

Once you get used to the sun and not caring about weather, it's really hard to go back. Places that rain a lot are depressing to me but that wasn't always the case. I've changed lol.

When I read about people freezing their behinds in places like the UK, and the expectation of cold weather and rain for moths to come, it makes me wanna hit the beach, order some cold beer and drink it next to the ocean or even in the ocean and appreciate my life.

All this travelling is work related, not holidays like others on here. In the end I hope to settle permanently in some warm sunny place.

Fack off Great.

And thanks Cinci. That's a tough question though. I could give you one answer now and then have a different answer some weeks later.

I'd have to go with Australia near the top of any list. I stayed in Sydney for a post grad diploma some years back and its got a very decent mix of everything. A jack of all trades but a master of none. Some other places are a bit extreme in one way or another.

The far east not a favourite of mine but there are many business opportunities across that region if you're business man, more than anywhere else IMO.
