Nah, in all seriousness. I'm very happy for him. Stayed with us WAY longer than a player of his skill or profile had any right too (in the last two seasons specifically completely outgrew us), thoroughly earned this move and anyone who says otherwise are simply blinded by club loyalty. Definitely a contender for most naturally talented player we've ever had, a very refreshing free spirited attitude to his game and career - at times probably stopped him being as good as Messi/Ronaldo, but at the end of the day if all players were like him it would be so much easier for fans to connect with players in general. Wish him nothing but success in Spain, even if the price is Courtois experiencing the same successes - that's how much Hazard deserves it

Props has to go to Marina on this deal as well. She really is a mini Ed Woodward in so many ways. It's fantastic that someone's coming in to split off the football strategy side with the financial (bonus points that it's a Chelsea legend), but god damn this chick knows how to get value for money on sales - incoming, hmm? But outgoings, marvelous! The days of us taking 50% hits on players after one season are done, to get a deal potentially raising to 150mil on a player with 12 months left on his deal is insane, even for a player like Hazard. To put this into prospective, Coutinho had several years left on his Liverpool deal, was younger, and after add-on's Hazard's still going for more
