Established, well known players we have signed in the last three years:

Lukaku, Matic, Sanchez, Pogba, Mkhi.

Which of those signings were you railing against at the time?

And ask Liverpool fans how important the likes of Firmino, Mane, Wijnaldum, TAA and Robertson have been this last season. All players who are at a completely level to the one they were at when they joined the club. Hell, even Milner and Henderson.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Robertson is the only one here who was not a well known, established player before Klopp signed him. All of them fit the three categories i outlined earlier.

Firmino was one if not the the best player in the Bundesliga.

Mané the best of the rest pl striker.

Milner was a player whose qualities had been overlooked.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well he didnt sign two of those and Utd bought the best of the rest striker but bar VVD Ive found all his signings a bit leftfield but even then the price was surprising. He also moved TAA to rb and moved Wijnaldum deeper and more central and the same with Ox.

What he has done is bought players for a system, got everyone to buy into it and made them really fit.

*and* you've seen a majority of your players develop and perform at a higher level than they were at before they arrived.

How many haven't significantly improved since Klopp arrived, Robbing? That's been massively important for you.

Remember when we offered Rooney £300k a week when he was past it?

That’s how he knows.

It was more that Moyes needed to show his presence wasn’t a deterrent to keeping big names.

And he seemed to be get rejected left right and centre from what I remember

It was a particularly embarrassing window from start to finish for both him and ed

Yeah which was why it was important he kept hold of Rooney. I didn’t agree with it, was a stupid decision, but I do understand it.

Moyes actually rejected signing some players and dithered on others which led to us missing out. He also made signing Fellaini and Baines the main targets for the summer.

Add in Ed being a new to the job, it didn't help. Along with all the other mistakes he made (firing all the coaches there).

..............

Moyes pretty much did everything wrong he could possibly do in that summer when he walked through the door.
