Was at the Centenery concert last night, absolutely brilliant time. Got me thinking about my favourite season from the 50 plus years I've been following the Mighty Whites.
73-74 has a special place in my memory. Unbeaten run, a team that showed it could play when it mattered and a swan song for the old favourites including the maestro himself, Mr Revie.
Thoughts?
Favourite season? And why?

Spring.
Not too hot nor too cold.
Love seeing the blossom on the trees and nature growing again.
Love seeing the hedgehog, bats, deer and rabbits on my local field.

Not much to choose from. Last season was the most enjoyable, although a disappointing finish. Promotion season from League One because of the euphoria after beating Bristol Rovers.

Wilko's promotion season and our title season.
Why? Because it had been so painful when we were relegated and promotion season was such a relief but also one of belief with the signings made.
The title soon after because we really took the first division by storm, up to that point, literally everything Wilko touched in terms of signings had turned to gold.

1972 and specifically FA Cup final v Arsenal.
I watched on telly in Leeds that afternoon, raining outside..."Clarke 1 nil"
At 6 30 I left home to meet this gorgeous girl, later my wife, still is!!
On my way I found lying in the gutter a crisp 10 bob note...a lot of money in 1972...the rain stopped, the sun came out, a rainbow appeared....
Now why can't everyday be like that Saturday in May,
1972 ?!!
