The deluded among us insisted that the signing of Dan James was still a possibility this summer, but it sounds like he's on his way to Man U. A consolation of not signing James in Jan is that at least he saw Leeds as a club with ambition - something that's been visibly lacking in previous seasons. My question is, after last season's performance, and with Bielsa on board again, is our pulling power enough to attract players we're rumoured to be chasing? Or is it pipe dreams to think the likes of Helder Costa at Wolves, would drop down a division?

By the way Elsbels, I completely agree with your concerns regarding next season.

A simple question about the club losing money!..
Is it now worst than when Bates, the clueless bankers or Cellino were here?..
I think the way things are now are a hell off a sight better than before AR came in, we can argue all we want about promotion and how it should be done, but I still wonder what might have been before AR took full control and asked Cellino to back him!..
We were up there when he asked only to be advised he'd be foolish to buy in the January window yet people here are shouting about us not doing it now!..
The club is stronger now than when the other melons were here!..
And correct me if I'm wrong, but it has been suggested that the Swansea/James deal fell through because the Swansea boss was under pressure from his board/investors!..

Peak, maybe I am a bit of a WUM on occasion. Anything that serves to stir a bit of debate.
Clearly there is a lot that's right at the club, how else would you explain the season long capacity crowds despite the ticket prices. I was wrong to say the management were so poor.
I sincerely believe however, that whilst the blame lies at Jenkins' door for why the deal fell though, Leeds management contributed to the James fiasco be it because they tried to manipulate the way the deal was done or left it to the last moment to complete.
I really do not understand why football teams do the latter. Is it a form of brinkmanship to try to force the other team into accepting a deal that they wouldn't otherwise have accepted. If that's the case, part of me applauds what Jenkins did, if the shoe had been on the other foot and whoever fulfils the role at ER had turned their phone off to prevent Clarke (for example) moving at below his market value then they would get no criticism from me.
Salonika clearly disagrees with anyone who takes issue with the way the club is currently being administered but rather than say that, he chose to resort to insults.

given there is little money available

And whose fault is it that we’ve sold players for 10s of millions of pounds and yet are making ever greater losses and have no money?

Little money? Rubbish!!
According to the Sun we’re looking to pay £35m for 2 Liverpool players.
We’re loaded 😉😉👍🏽👍🏽

Interested to see if Malik Wilks makes the step up to the 1st team. He sounds decent.

Well it was Jenkins that stopped the deal, he also stopped the Fer deal. He was not interested in agreeing a deal and was stalling as much as he could. AR had to contact Swansea’s owner in the US and a deal was agreed between them. Jenkins was then ordered by the owner to see the deal through. He reluctantly obeyed to this and sent James to Elland Road. But after the fans strongly objected to this he cut all contact and wouldn’t answer any phones. People from Leeds, James agent and even James himself tried to get in contact with Swansea, but no one could get hold of anyone at Swansea.
This is also why Jenkins had to leave his post because the owner could not work whit him and that he was working against the owners wishes.

Really wasn’t an insult!
As LUFC Germany says, life under AR is amazingly more positive than it was under Bates, Cellino & GFH. So if you’re not aware of that fact then you are under 11 or on the wacky baccy!
... not an insult, just the only possible reasons for holding those views really 😎

Deluded. Any PL club puts us as a Mickey Mouse club even though we are massive.
Only money talks
It’s very sad
I remember when football was football

It makes people wonder on what grounds the Leeds board get stick for what happened!..
Norway, I know there was trouble all over the shop when it ended and one idiot lost his very good job,(his fault nobody else's!) but there was also something about people in the background not being to happy with players going!..

Promotion, see it how you like but until we're back up there we're no bigger than anyone up there, fan base can be as big as its wants, but, without the Premiership riches that's the only thing that'll be big!..
Why cant people think about teams coming down with their fallout money is a minus for anyone down here, the same as if teams went up without their handout would be for them!..
I too remember the Trevor Francis transfer very well!..

Germany, you misunderstood
I said even though we are massive we are a bowl of rice compared to any PL club.
Any PL can take any of our players.
