Looks like Lukaku wants out

Agreed. But I don't think it's fair to say Griezmann doesn't deliver is my point. He's a very good player.
.............
Not for me. Not worth the ego.
I am very rarely wrong on things like this.

Probably won't happen anyway.

In that formation where he has split strikers and we end up having to use Lingard in the central role between the two, Griezmann would be fantastic. Need a decent midfield behind us though still.
Seems like a massivecunt though so I'd rather not sign him.

It does on the odd occasion.

Didn't Eric come in also and put his collar up? As a point to say 'hey I'm Cantona. I'm better than you'.
Zlatan wasn't short on confidence either. Maybe just joined us a few years too late. Loved him too though
Wouldn't be against getting Griezmann because he's a bit of a nob. He's actually a good player.
---------------------
I think Cantona used it as a tool to scare/dominate his opponents. The videos are just someone that is full of his own self-importance.

Martial and Rashford as the split strikers and Griezmann pushing up as the false 9 would be a huge upgrade in the current set up.
Would still need to tweak other parts of the team though.

It doesn't solve the major problem we have. All you are doing is upgrading Lingard. (this in itself isn't a problem)
We would still have the problem of the lack of width on the right hand side, and the lack of any cover for the RB, which we consistently saw last season.

Agreed, would just be one way to use him if we did sign him (which we wont be).
Would prefer to still get a RW unless James becomes good enough to start very soon, and just play Greaseman as the striker.

Cover for the RB isn't a problem provided you get the right RB in (is AWB that guy?) and the right B2B midfielder in (or see an improved McT/Fred in the role).
It's about set up, roles and tactical adherence.
Liverpool manage OK with Salah as RWF and an attacking right back.

Because Salah is more disciplined than Lingard. Also Klopp has his other forwards knowing what they should do if Salah comes inside.
Our players don't show that intelligence.

Salah may be more disciplined than Lingard, but he doesn't play the same role, and he doesn't do any more defending than Lingard.
Lingard is most often used as an inside right (when he isn't in attacking midfield - he never plays the same role as Salah), and, like Liverpool, when we play 4-3-3 or a variant, we have our right sided (B2B) midfielder covering RB when required, rather than the right sided forward.
