Baffles me why Barcelona aren't in for Eriksen.

They seem to be a little cash strapped in terms of wages, but they could surely afford to pay Eriksen more than we are. 1 year left on his contract so we can't demand silly money, Ajax academy graduate, great on the ball etc. Seems to be made for them.

Fair enough but surely this alone wouldn't stop them from being interested? Liverpool have got some great midfielders but wouldn't you like to take Eriksen in the current situation he finds himself in?

Definitely.

Think that position is where we need to address more than anywhere else. We need a player who can get on the ball and create from there.

Agree. My main point was that even though Barca do look well stacked in the first 11, if one of those 3 you mentioned became injured, they are turning to the likes of Vidal and an aging Busquets. Eriksen just seems like a perfect Barcelona signing to me, especially for the price.

Happy with Villa at home first, in fact pretty happy with our fixtures in general.

If we can get our business done and a couple of players in including Ndombele then hopefully get off to a good start.

We will be starting on such a positive note this season (got to the CL final, the best stadium in the country and a much needed improved squad) so if you compare and contrast that to the beginning of last season which was so negative.

Which may be one of the current hold ups to the deal taking place.

Honestly would be shocked if Barca hadn't at least expressed their interest.

The window shuts early this summer on the 11th of August or something?

I get your point Hengy, but Son is a very streaky player, one of several that Spurs have. Capable of having a nine out of 10, then lots of 3 our of 10 games. Spurs players need to up the ante this season and start putting in consistent 7 or 8 out of 10 games.
