Skipp the scapegoat?

A lot is made of Spurs's desire to bolster the midfield, and the endless transfer links with specially two players - both of which are midfielders. Though, Spurs were also linked with other midfield players too.

This doesn't bode well for one of the youngsters who filled the void left by majestic Dembele and the injuries to Winks, Wanyama and Dier illness.

Skipp, who had to learn and adapt quickly and ensure Spurs still had a decent hold in the middle, is the one to lose his place in the coming season.

Looks like Poch does not trust Skipp fully to rely on the youngster as yet.

Though Skipp impressed during his sporadic performances last campaign, he is still far from being ready for the demands of a gruelling season playing at the highest levels.

Is it a question of loaning him out to a decent championship side and letting make that step up, or Skipp is not cut out for the premiership.

I admire your commitment.

Skip ads. I hate YouTube ads too. They're so interrupting.

Tidy player, but a championship player at best from what I have seen from him. He is still young though, so a spell on loan won`t harm him, and maybe he will then fulfil his promise.

Being Championship-level at 17/18 isn't bad to be fair. People are talking about paying £30m for Sessegnon based on the same principle.

being "spoken highly of" does not equate to
"he's as good as us".
The kid is no competition for Lo Celso or nDombele.
These ARE senior players.
And we need them or their like. Specially if Eriksen leaves.

Define senior?

What about Winks then?

When I used to play footy, I was told if you're good enough then that's all that matters

I am sure with encouragement and guidance, and maybe 6 months with a very good championship side, Skipp will either show his talent or just be good enough for championship level.
Not everyone gets the chance like he did last year with the first team and having Poch's guidance

Senior?
First team players, Internationals - play for their country.

BTW, just saw Lo Celso playing for Argentina against Columbia. Think Levy should be looking elsewhere.

Did he impress? I think he looked way out of his depth most of the time.
